A Perfect Safari with Mwanne and Joshua
We booked a private 5-day safari with Oldbeast Vacations, and from the very first moment, I felt something rare — true care. I had contacted many companies before, but most didn’t listen, pushed expensive packages, or simply didn’t understand what I wanted. But Mwanne was different. He listened to every detail, respected every request, and made me feel completely comfortable from the start. Every question was answered with kindness and clarity, and every change I asked for was welcomed with genuine flexibility.
And then the adventure began.
When Joshua became our guide, it didn’t take long to realize how incredibly lucky we were. He didn’t just take us on safari — he brought the parks to life. His calm presence, his perfect instinct for when to share stories or when to let us quietly absorb the moment, made each day unforgettable. Joshua explained everything with passion: the animals, the birds, the landscapes, even the culture and history of Tanzania. It felt like traveling with someone who truly loved what he did.
We felt completely taken care of.
We had everything we needed — water, wine, lunch boxes, snacks, and places to charge our cameras so we never missed a single moment. But the real magic was in Joshua’s heart. His humor made us laugh every day, his knowledge amazed us, and his excitement during every wildlife encounter made it feel like he was seeing it for the first time right along with us.
And something touched us deeply: his respect for the animals.
While we saw some guides from other companies chasing lions or crowding wildlife, Joshua always kept a respectful, mindful distance. He reminded us that this was their world, their home — and we were simply lucky visitors. That mindset made every sighting feel pure, natural, and deeply meaningful.
By the end of the trip, we realized this wasn’t just a safari.
It was an experience that will stay in our hearts forever.

From Tarangire to Ngorongoro: Pure Magic
Our 5 day safari with Oldbeast Vacations was absolutely incredible. Every moment felt like a dream, from the breathtaking landscapes to the amazing wildlife all around us. We were lucky enough to see so many animals up close, and every day brought new surprises that left us in awe.
Our guide, John, was nothing short of extraordinary. Friendly, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable, he made the safari feel personal and effortless. He listened carefully to what we wanted, adjusted the itinerary to suit us, and even stayed longer in areas where the animals were abundant. John’s respect for the wildlife was inspiring – he let us get close to the animals while always ensuring we did not disturb them. Magic in the Heart of Tanzania
I had never been on a safari before, so I did not know what to expect. Oldbeast Vacations completely blew me away!
Our guide, John, was amazing. Funny, kind, and patient, he knew all the best spots and made sure we had a clear view of every animal we encountered. He shared fascinating facts about every animal we saw, and thanks to his expertise, we were able to see all the animals we hoped for, including the Big Five! His great rapport with other guides also meant he always knew exactly where the animals were.
The camping experience was comfortable and well-organized, but the absolute highlight was the food. Fredy, our chef, prepared gourmet meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, each one absolutely delicious.
From the very beginning, Mwanne made the booking process smooth, helpful, and reassuring, answering all our questions with patience and care.

A Safari Worth Every Moment
We had a problem with our flight and ended up arriving in Arusha about six hours late. To be clear, this had nothing to do with Oldbeast Vacations it was entirely due to the airline. Because of the delay, we missed our first day of safari in Tarangire and went straight to Manyara Best View Lodge. This lodge is magnificent. We would definitely have stayed an extra day just to enjoy its facilities and the stunning view.
On the second and third days, we did the safari in the Serengeti. It was an incredible experience. We saw many animals and were lucky to be near a group of lions just as it started to rain. Watching how they behaved in that moment was fascinating.
The accommodations, both at Bush Tembo Camp and Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp, were excellent, very comfortable, with delicious food right in the heart of the savannah.
On the last day, we visited the Ngorongoro Crater. It was a foggy and overcast day, which made the descent into the crater feel even more dramatic. Truly unforgettable.
We didn’t manage to spot the Rhinoceros or the Leopard from the Big Five, but that’s just how nature is sometimes.
By the way, the SG Premium Resort, which served as our base in Arusha, is also an excellent hotel.
One important tip: we highly recommend arriving in Arusha at least one day before your safari starts. The local airlines in Tanzania can be quite unreliable, and delays like ours are not uncommon. Better to be safe and start your adventure stress-free.

Honeymoon Safari Review – A Truly Unforgettable 5 Star Experience
My wife and I went on a 5 day group safari with Oldbeast Vacations for our honeymoon, and it was an absolutely incredible experience from beginning to end. The entire trip was organized seamlessly, and working with Oldbeast Vacations was genuinely stress free. Once our safari began, the adventure became even more magical.
We were guided by Joshua, who was exceptional in every way. Warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, he brought the entire landscape to life. His passion for the wildlife and the region was evident in every explanation, every story, and every moment he spent with us. Joshua’s ability to spot animals from far distances was astonishing, and thanks to him we were able to witness countless amazing wildlife sightings that we would have easily missed on our own. He always stopped whenever someone in the group showed interest in an animal, making the entire experience feel personal, thoughtful, and truly unforgettable.
Our accommodations throughout the trip were comfortable, clean, and perfect for relaxing after days out in the wild. The meals were delicious, and we deeply appreciated how carefully they catered to dietary needs. My wife requires gluten free food, and the team handled it with such professionalism and care that we never had a single worry.
This safari was everything we had hoped our honeymoon would be, and so much more full of wonder, adventure, and moments we will cherish forever.

A Truly Memorable Safari Experience
My fiancé and I went on a 5-day safari with Oldbeast Vacations, and Joshua was our guide. During these five days, we visited four national parks – Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Manyara – each unique in its own way. The tour was perfectly planned. Even when there were last-minute changes due to new people joining, Joshua handled everything so smoothly that it had no impact on our trip.
The jeep we rode in was very comfortable, which we greatly appreciated after hours on the road. We chose the mid-range lodge option, and all our accommodations were fantastic, with Suricata Boma Lodge standing out as our absolute favorite. Breaks were well-timed, and whenever we needed an extra pause, Joshua made sure we got it without slowing down the adventure.
The meals were another highlight. We were accompanied by a chef who prepared lunches for us, mostly local dishes full of fresh vegetables – so vegetarians don’t have to worry! Every meal was delicious and a true taste of Tanzania.
Above all, we want to thank Joshua. He made our trip the experience of a lifetime. His deep knowledge of wildlife, flora and fauna, and Tanzanian customs enriched every moment. He is a skilled and careful driver, expertly navigating bumpy roads among wild animals. On top of that, he’s a genuinely wonderful person, with a sophisticated sense of humor that we all loved, and he treated us like friends rather than just tourists.
Thanks to Joshua, we saw the Big 5 and even the “Ugly 5”! I feel like a 12-year-old coming back from the best summer camp, and I will truly miss this experience.
