We had an unforgettable trip through Ethiopia, visiting Lalibela, Gondar, the Simien Mountains, Tigray, and the Danakil Depression. Mulugeta was the best guide we could have asked for. He is extremely knowledgeable about history, religion, and culture, and he brought every place to life with fascinating stories.
Beyond his professionalism, he is warm, kind, and caring. Even when unexpected challenges came up, including health issues, he took care of everything calmly and made us feel safe at all times. Traveling with him felt more like being with a friend than just a guide.

He is the best you can get in Ethiopia!
Ethiopia is such a unique and fascinating country, full of history, breathtaking landscapes, and warm people. Our journey took us through Lalibela, Gondar, the Simien Mountains, Tigray with its incredible Gheralta rock-hewn churches, and the unforgettable Danakil Depression.
We were truly fortunate to find Mulugeta as our guide. From the very first messages, I could feel his kindness, professionalism, and deep knowledge. Meeting him in person confirmed everything—he is not only an exceptionally educated and intelligent guide, but also a warm, humorous, and caring person who quickly made us feel at home.
Mulugeta’s passion for his country, its history, and its traditions brought every place we visited to life. He has studied in different regions of Ethiopia, and his knowledge of history, religion, and culture is truly impressive. Thanks to him, we didn’t just “see” the sights—we understood their meaning and felt their spirit.

The best guide in my life
Ethiopia is truly a beautiful and diverse country we wanted to see and our destination was Lalibela, Gondar, Simien Mountains, Tigray with Gheralta rock heaven churches and Danakil Depression.
And I we very lucky to accidentally find Mulugeta in internet..
From the first correspondence, I felt what an educated, kind and warm person he is. And really- he studied in areas including Addis Ababa, Gondar, Aksum, and Lalibela, his deep knowledge of history, religion, and local legends brings every site to life, age is incredible warm person too. Remember when we first met in Lalibela, I realized what a fantastic atmosphere we would have during the entire trip. He is really an extremely educated person, very intelligent, sociable, with a sense of humor, a dedicated to his work person. The atmosphere during the trip was so special that we all felt like a big family.
Although many unforeseen things happened during the trip and we even had health problems several times, Mulugeta took care of everything so professionally that we felt safe with him. I am very grateful to him for all the time we spent together and the efforts he made to make our trip unforgettable. All the group, we were very happy with him and not only that, we found a friend for life,

We were a group from Lithuania who spent 17 days with Experience Ethiopia Tours, and it was absolutely unforgettable! From the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela and castles of Gondar to trekking the Simien Mountains and exploring the hidden churches of Tigray, every day was extraordinary. The highlight was standing at the edge of the Erta Ale volcano and witnessing the surreal landscapes of the Danakil Depression. Mulu, the founder, is an outstanding guide — knowledgeable, caring, and deeply passionate about Ethiopia. Highly recommend!

instant yes! when was asked - do I want to join group, traveling to Africa, Ethiopia?
It was the greatest decision 👏. This experience was immensely improved by our Guide Mulugeta. He spent with us two weeks traveling around destiniations we chosen and was dealing with situations calmly, professionally and with zero stress. He managed ahead local guides, transportation, hotels restaurants and made comunication with locals light and easy.
With him we traveled a lot. Visited Lalibela churches in stone, hiked Tigray national park. Enjoyed Simien national park scenery on a few days hike with mules :) climbed ton of churches that were high on hills and carved in stone. Swam in salty lakes, visited volcano and depression Dankill.
