Perfect 8 days!
My husband and I took the 8 day Victoria Falls, Chobe National Park, Elelphant Sands, and Okavango Delta trip in July 2016. It exceeded our expectations in every way. We knew we wanted to visit those places, but we had no idea what would do at each location or how many days to stay. Andrew and Zim Travel arranged every detail. They were so knowledgeable about each destination, the culture, places to eat, where to take the best pictures, border crossings, sightseeing-----you name it and they knew where and what to do.
Andrew picked us up and delivered us to each event. He either personally guided us or arranged for an excellent guide.
As we drove from place to place, he filled us in on so many interesting details. He informed us of the currency to bring, where to exchange the currency and drove us there.
At Chobe, we sat in a boat 30 feet from a herd of elephants and watched them drink, play, eat and "wrestle". It was unforgettable. On the safaris we so many animals! Each day was amazing and different! Vic Falls was incredible. We walked the entire length of the falls and viewed each lookout point. Andrew guided us personally and it made a difference to hear his commentary.
Andrew took care of every possible detail. We wholeheartedly recommend Zim Travel!!!!

3Dqay/2Night Safari in Chobe NP
Very pleased with Africa Zim travel. They made arrangements for the two of us to be picked up in Livingstone and transferred to Botswana for the safari. Logistics were superb with the hand off from shuttle to boat (to cross the border) to the safari leader seamless. Africa Zim was even able to accommodate a last minute change from us to be returned to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe instead of the originally agreed upon Livingstone, Zambia at the end of the safari at no additional charge.
The safari itself was sub-contracted out to Cape Fig Safaris based out of Kasane/Chobe in Botswana and they were excellent. I would 100% recommend that you request that Africa Zim books your trip to Chobe with this operator.
Three small notes:
1) The itinerary provided by Africa Zim mentions time to stop in Kasane to shop for some last minute supplies or curios. We did not get this chance. Wasn't a problem for us, but probably something Africa Zim should communicate to their sub contractors or remove that item from the itinerary.
2) I paid 25% upfront using PayNow (kind of the Zimbabwe version of PayPal), which does assess a fee for making payment, just something to keep in mind.
3) The final 75% was requested in cash, which may be a lot for people to be carrying on there person (and difficult to obtain in Zimbabwe currently). You may want to ask to make other payment arrangements.

What an awesome experience!!
Wow from beginning to end! The thing that really stood out for me was the personal service we received. My partner and I were collected by the most warm and friendly tour guide Blessing. We had the kombi all to ourselves - no squashing and trying to fit in with others. The tour really was all about us and what we wanted to do and when we wanted to do it. Africa Zim Travel are focussed on being flexible and accommodating and prefer to take small or well acquainted groups - that really does make for a far more enjoyable trip. This really was a trip to remember and I would highly recommend using Africa Zim Travel to plan your next memorable experience.

Wonderfully accommodating tour guide!
I am most grateful that we found Africa Zim. Traveling with a group of friends, each with different date requirements and all with very specific locations we wanted to explore, we appreciated how accommodating Africa Zim was. Our guide, Blessing, was responsive by email during our trip planning and very flexible during the tour when changes needed to be made. He found wonderful guides for us on our game drives and river cruises. It was clear that we were getting a much better experience than the other groups we would meet and talk with during breaks. Best of all for any birders out there, all the guides were excellent at identifying and pointing out the local birds. Be sure to ask the river people to tell their creation stories - I especially liked the explanation story for why hippos leave the river to take care of their business ;-)

Toured for 8 days to Chobe, Okavango and Victoria Falls with Blessing Munbare as our guide
Communications to establish the tour dates and payment was slower than I had hoped but we hammered the details out to our satisfaction. The tour was as advertised and often exceeded expectations. Chobe Safari Lodge was totally wonderful as were the boat experience and the driving safari. Okavango Delta was s bit disappointing because there was not much wildlife ( wrong time of the season) but the Sedia Hotel gave a sense of Africa that was not totally touristy. Victoria Falls was spectacular as was the Victoria Falls Hotel. Having Blessing Mumbare as our guide and friend for the 8 days was indeed a highlight of of trip. His care for us (myself, wife and daughter) will be remembered fondly. We thank him for his efforts and hospitality. You will be hard-pressed to find anything comparable for the experience and price. I was not there for a safari, however Africa Zim was VERY helpful in guiding me on my travel throughout the country, particularly in spending time to answer questions and give advice and in arranging accommodations and ground transportation in and between several towns that I visited. They more than met my expectations. I will be referring others and will use this company again myself.

Easy Booking and Excellent Organization, Even from Afar
We had an amazing trip through Victoria Falls, Botswana and Namibia, perfectly organized from start to finish.
Booking was easy, even from abroad, and the communication was always clear and efficient. All the accommodations were high quality, comfortable and beautifully selected, with delicious food throughout our journey.
The experiences and activities included in the itinerary were always premium and well organized, making the whole trip truly special and totally stress-free!

Fantastic driving tour of 3 countries in Southern Africa
Africa Zim was our first experience traveling to Africa. I cannot really express how perfect this trip was. Our driver and guide Ronald was exceptional and beyond helpful. He was knowledgable, funny, caring and everywhere we went people new him.
Communications were ideal in that AfricaZim got back to us immediately and the pricing was very reasonable. We started our safari travels in Windhoek,Namibia where Ronald met us at the airport. We took off and drove through Namibia and the Namib desert which was gorgeous.Then up the lower Skeleton coast to see the Cape fur seals. Our hotels were incredibly upscale, comfortable and our guide made as many stops as we needed along the way. The people at hotels and outings were incredibly happy, friendly and interested in our welfare. We continued on to Botswana and Etosha National Park, Moremi Game Reserve and to Chobe National Park. The safaris were excellent and we saw Zebras, elephants, lions (male and female), cheetah, giraffes and hippos, Kudu, Springbok, warthogs, ostrich, etc.. Africa Zim scheduled evening sunset cruises for us and these were spectacular. Another great suggested stop was the Okavango River and delta. Our outing in dug-out canoes on the Okavango delta was exciting as we were near hippos in the water and we had a great hike on one of the many islands in the delta. We continued to Zimbabwe and Victory Falls. Everything they planned for us was accomplished. Every time I emailed before the trip with questions they responded quickly. My husband and I are planning another trip to Tanzania and we will definitely use Africa Zim. Our first experience in Africa was perfect because of their planning.

Perfect from start to finish!
We really enjoyed our entire trip—from booking to activities to accommodations. We were able to modify the trip ahead of time to suit our needs. Very responsive service.
When we arrived, Pamela was our guide, and she truly made our 8-day experience special. She knew all of the best local spots which made a huge difference. She was super flexible, friendly, and knowledgeable and helped us see everything we wanted to see.
The trip offered a lot of variety, so we were never bored. Chobe is amazing, so is Victoria Falls, and elephant sands. All of the food was amazing and so were the accommodations. It’s hard to pick a highlight. Cannot recommend this trip enough.

8 day custom tour from Victoria Falls to Chobe, Okavango Delta and Maun
I can’t praise Africa Zim Travel & Tours more highly. They are a boutique tour operator that specialises in custom travel experiences. They built a tour itinerary around the dates my husband and I provided, and included all the stops and activities we wanted to include on our African safari adventure. Quite often along our adventure, we crossed paths with the big bus operators, and we were so pleased that we went with Africa Zim Travel & Tours, and did not have to share our safari with 30 other travelers.
We opted for an all-tent experience, so that we could hear the sounds of Africa at night. But we could easily have upgraded to other accommodation if we had wanted. Initially we requested a range of accommodation options, all of which were great value for money, but we settled on tenting. We booked an 8-day tour from Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe to Maun in Botswana. We were met by our awesome host, Stanford, at Vic Falls airport. He was our trusty companion, driver, animal spotter and most gracious guide for the duration of our trip. Africa Zim Travel & Tours has a supportive and symbiotic relationship with other small local operators. We were seamlessly handed over to other expert guides for the specialist adventures we had requested, like a game viewing Zambezi river sunset cruise, a 2-night stay over in the heart of Chobe National Park and another 2-night stay over in the Okavango Delta. Stanford was always there, with his infectious smile and glowing personality, to collect us and take us on the next part of our adventure.
One advantage we were extremely grateful for, because of going with Africa Zim Travel & Tours, unlike the other big tour options out there, our tent was always built and furnished before we arrived. No need to erect our own tent at each stop.
The Africa Zim team are really professional. There is a solid team of back-office members, who always respond to emails within hours. They are supported by a team of highly experienced tour guides who take us lucky travelers around Africa and make dreams come true.
