Christopher Clark left his home in sleepy rural England in 2008, bound for Africa on a wing, a prayer and a one way ticket, in search of sunshine and stories from across the continent. And he hasn't looked back since.
Now permanently based in Cape Town, he has travelled through and written from 13 different African countries ranging from safari stalwarts such as Kenya and Tanzania to more "extreme" destinations such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, where, among other things, he spent a harrowing weekend in an overcrowded prison.
His ramblings and travel features have appeared in a number of publications in South Africa, Namibia, Zambia, the US and the UK. He has contributed to the Fodor's South Africa guidebook and their Complete Guide to African Safaris, and has also done work on Africa for World Travel Guide. He is the primary content writer and blogger for Zambia Tourism.
Despite his fishy English accent, Christopher has twice been featured as one of South Africa's best writers and thought leaders in the annual Big Issue Collector's Edition.
