Myanmar lake, ngorngoro crater, Serengeti, Zanzibar
5/5

I will not be able to fully and accurately describe and appreciate this experience here but I'll try. I was not the person that organized or corresponded with the people from regional tours but I was most impressed with the accommodations arranged and services provided. Our guide Peter hands down made our safari what it was. He was extremely knowledgable about every area we visited. By knowledgeable I mean he not only knew the geography of each place but he was incredibly knowledgeable about where to find which animals to find in which areas as well as migration habits, mating, nesting, and anything else you could think of related to any kind of animal we saw. No question was too hard or too insignificant for Peter. He gave us lots of information on local customs based on where we were, he always knew a place to stop for shopping or a toilet, gave advice on how to negotiate while shopping and even helped us get checked in at the airport and work out a tricky situation with luggage weight. It took more than an hour and he stuck with us the entire time. Peter was nothing but patient, kind and more than accommodating in any and all situations. Accommodations were equally as impressive. We stayed in 3 different places that ranged from bush tents to a lodge tucked away on the side of a mountain in the middle of coffee plantations. A great experience with a wide range of amenities that offered a great experience over all. They even arranged out flight and accomodations at a becahfront hotel in Zanzibar. And had contacts for activities there as well. All in all it was above and beyond my expectations and I would with out a doubt recommend this company to anyone traveling to Tanzania. They seem to have a relationship with a vey wide range of establishments and can accommodate to make your stay as luxurious or as budget as you're comfortable with. Our 9 day trip was $200/day/person and included 2 flights, all transportation, 8 nights of accomodations, 3 meals a day (only 2 on Zanzibar) and a guide with endless wealth of information.

Beautiful perfect travel organization of Regional tours
5/5

Thanks M. Maturaf Maanfou. We have met when we arrived in Zanzibar and we were received at his office in Stone town. For the safari we recommend MBilal Mabera which is a very good guide who speaks perfect French and English and has great kindness. Our stay at the Zanzibar beach Mapenzei went perfectly in a word. Everything was perfect.

Finally conquered Kilimanjaro
5/5

In January 2019 my girlfriend and I conquered Mount Kilimanjaro with Regional Tours. We did the 7 days Machame route so that we did outdoor camping all the way up the mountain. The climb was very scenic, with beautiful views of spectacular landscapes. Our crew, consisted of Alex the head guide with the cook and porters and they did everything for us to ensure that we got to the summit and back safely. They were always very cheerful and kept our moods up with their singing and dancing on the mountain.

I am really thankful to the head guide Alex, and your assistant guides. It was an amazing trip of our lifetime we highly recommend Regional Tours!

Not just a wonderful tour guide, also a wonderful friend..
5/5

My husband and I had the chance to go to Tanzania with Regional Tours. This was our second safari, but the first one with a regional tour company, through safaribookings.com. The pre-tour communication was really annoying, I had to wait for a response to my e-mails and whatsapp messages for days. Because of that we were a little bit anxious until we get out the Kilimanjaro Airport. But from the moment we saw the nice guy who came to pick us up, everything was miraculous. Tanzania is a wonderful country, with the savannahs, the forests, lakes and everything. But it was much more wonderful with Harun, our tour guide, and now our friend. Regional Tour has arranged everything in a perfect way. The lodges we've stayed, the tour program, people that we met at the tour office, their behaviour to us, everything was perfect and we were just like in a dream. But Harun, he is the one who make your day, the one who made this tour so perfect and joyful. He is a kind, smart, funny and warm person. You can ask him whatever you want and he always has the answers. He loves to explain what you're curious about, he has a huge knowledge about animals, plants, the geography and the history of the places we've been. I've learned too much from him. And you can see that he loves his job, he loves all these animals, the nature and this means a lot. He's smart, he understands what you want to see, what you want to do, and guide you so well. At the end of our amazing Tanzania trip, he was no longer our tour guide, he was a good friend that we hope will always be.

Unforgettable experience
5/5

With Regional tours and safari's you get what you pay for and then some. We had an incredible safari experience thanks to our driver John who was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating and made sure we saw the big 5! All the places we stayed at were clean and comfortable with very friendly and welcoming staff. The food was great! All in all a top notch experience.

Transparant, honest, knowledgeable and flexible operator. Well recommend.
5/5

Maturaf was a big help in putting together our customised itinerary. We took the six day individual pack (Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti) and changed it to fit in Lobo (migration) and put Serengeti last, as it is the most spectacular park. Maturaf was very involved and flexible in setting up our tour, fast communicating through email and Skype.

When you spend a lot of money on a safari, trust is a big thing. We have found Regional to be very transparant and honest, booking the best available lodges and camps. Some operators (apperently) may promise a upmarket accomodation, but tell you it is under construction when you get there, to put you in a lower priced facility, no such thing happened with Regional.

Solid car (LandCruiser), with a pop-up roof and cooler. No cutting back on gamedrive hours or distance we could notice. If anything, there are two minor recommendations to Regional to be made: at the price of a safari, one might expect binoculars to be on board. Second, we might have wanted to fly from Seronera airstrip to Zanzibar, instead of driving to Arusha. This would have been a good suggestion, outside of the safari arrangements. All things considered, we had an unforgettable safari and we would highly recommend Regional and Maturaf.

Our driver, Emanuel is an expert driver, a very knowledgeable guide, fluent English (and Spanish) speaker, a very decent spotter and above all a friendly and helpful guy. He is an experienced driver, which is a big asset: he knows the Serengeti by heart and knows a lot of people, which helped us several times to smoothly pass checkpoints and reach destinations quickly. No racecar driver, but easy pace driver, who really knows his car well. Expect full safari days. With early rise and long gamedrives. We would very much recommend him.

Amazing experience and fantastic service
5/5

Just back from a mid-range Safari and Zanzibar tour with Regional Tours which is a local company. Maturaf was really helpful and his responses were timely. The price was not over the top for the tour that we got. The accommodations and food were fantastic. Emmanuel, our guide, was fantastic. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife, birds and parks. He has the best vision and pointed out things that we could until we got the binoculars out. He went out of the way to ensure that we had the best trip and also suggested changes to the itinerary to maximize our time. Thank you!! We had the best time.
