Loved every safari minute
5/5

From the start when we were picked up at the Fairview Hotel in Nairobi to the finish when we were returned back to our hotel, Masai Mara was an exceptionally great adventure and experience. The service level was fantastic, the scenery with golden savanna was even better, the food at the tented camp was great and all draped with personal and focused service.

Hot air balloon safari was the highlight which culminated by having sumptuous bush breakfast in the middle of endless golden grassland with full view of beautiful horizon.

We took the option to stay at the Ilkeliani Camp, a tented alternative to the lodges that was well worth the money. The safari too was value for our money as we will probably only do this once. Our guides, hosts and waiters were all informative, appealing and lots of fun. There was always something going on especially with game viewing safari tours.

All in all, I have placed this trip to Masai Mara right up there in our top 5 vacation destinations and experiences... thanks to African Sermon Safaris

At Amboseli where Kilimanjaro and elephants greet you
5/5

We drove straight from Nairobi Airport on the highway towards Mombasa, which I guess should be one of the best-developed roads in Kenya. From the branch at a small town of Emali to the entrance of Amboseli National Park we noticed a gentle glide along with our vehicle, which is partly new asphalt, a pleasure.

Over the whole area, the majestic Kilimanjaro with its snowy summit peak sits on the Tanzanian side and I always asked myself the question "Will I be lucky to see the Kilimanjaro free of clouds – fingers crossed?"

My mood increased noticeably when we arrived at the outstanding Ol Tukai Lodge. Quickly I was checked into my room. I didn’t think it was such beautiful, even though I had heard only good things about this lodge. There were precious woods everywhere, dark leather, well-kept lawn and the entire lodge is located in a small forest ... in the middle of nowhere inside of the game park.

The idea of using ecotourism to lure travelers into the country while practicing a gentle approach to the environment is very important. This principle is also implemented here in Ol Tukai Lodge. The entire power is generated from solar energy and is therefore, available only at certain times. Only local materials were used for the construction of this hotel facilities, and the local population is included in the running and operation of the lodge.

However, it does not mean that this would entail great deprivation, on the contrary. It is more like a luxury camping for spoiled city-dwellers who are looking for the pure nature experience and don’t want to miss the comforts of urban life. Whether you need that certain luxury everyone should decide for themselves.

Armed with my camera in the evening across the beautiful garden, my eyes fell more by chance to the horizon of my left - and, yes miracles do happen, the Kilimanjaro summit now looks out of the clouds. More, I quickly get some more wide-angle lens and spend the next couple of minutes with photographing this mighty mountain. What an amazing sight!

Africa is the sensual experience that I have always been dreaming of and no doubt I experienced it here - the sparkling stars of Africa, a flickering campfire, the sounds of drumming elephants can be very romantic.

Safari is a good experience, a good trip in Kenya and I can promise you the wonderful trip through Kenya goes on, hopefully, would make a return trip.

A big thank you for the cooperation with African Sermon Safaris tour operator, with whose able planning I was able to discover Amboseli which I write about here. If you would like to watch the elephants and see Kilimanjaro, you should head out to Amboseli National Park, a place that won my appreciation of nature. Consider traveling with this company which is an exceptional choice offering such a great experience.

An amazing Kenya safari
5/5

Traveling to East Africa has been a long awaited dream for me. Early this year, I was finally able to accomplish my dream by going on African Sermon Safaris one week safari to Kenya. The trip was prearranged locally though the tour operator. I cannot say enough praises for African Sermon Safaris, and particularly Daniel and our driver guide in Kenya named Jimmy. The guide was an exceptionally knowledgeable and focused guide. His knack to wisely answer all of our many questions and spot wildlife from far away never stopped to amaze us. Jimmy went out of his way throughout the trip to accommodate us and always easy-going with all our special requests, from stopping to photograph sunsets and tree cluster to locating his vehicle for the perfect photo prospect. As a seasoned traveler, I can truly say that this trip has been one of my favorites and having Jimmy as our guide added to making it so notable. I remain with the memories of this tour. Definitely, Kenya is an amazing country, beautiful too! It stole part of me. Without any hesitation I recommend this company, Daniel, and Jimmy for making this vacation as enjoyable and well organized.

Pleasant experience - recommend
5/5

We had the pleasure of traveling with a delightful company called African Sermon Safaris. From the minute we contacted this safari company until our tour itself, everything moved like clockwork. The excursion was seamless with the expert guide being very helpful, humorous, informative and willing to tweak the itinerary to suit our plans to maximize each day’s experience. I would recommended them as I adored their ease of planning Kenyan trips and showed genuine concerns throughout the trip.

Perfectly planned Kenya safari
5/5

Our first vacation in Kenya is already a few weeks ago and still we miss the expanse of Kenya, the great and many animals and the so friendly people there.
We booked our holiday with African Sermon Safaris and put together an excellent trip for us. We have only asked a lot, written a lot and then also telephoned. Always the answers came quickly and in details. We had the feeling that our holiday is really important and have found everything as promised.
We went on a safari for about 12 days, starting in Nairobi, Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and then after a night in Nairobi before heading out to Amboseli, Ziwani, Tsavo East and West, it was classy. We were also traveling almost every day, but we wanted to see as much as possible. Everything was wonderful, the camps and lodges were great, the food super and the driver, just for us, was always punctual. I can only recommend Kenya for what you see, simply beautiful. We have been to South Africa, you cannot compare, not half as nice.
We will soon return to Kenya for another vacation and now take more time in Tsavo and explore the East and West part better and also definitely go to Ziwani again.

Amazing Trip, Highly Recommend
5/5

We did the 7 day trip to Ol Pajeta, Lake Nukuru, Lake Naivasha, and Maasi Mara and added an extra day in Maasi Mara. Daniel was incredibly flexible and we were able to customize the trip exactly how we wanted it. We had never heard of African Sermon Safaris before and were a little nervous about using the company, but Daniel answered every question promptly and was able to ease our concerns. After booking the trip, only several months before going, he continued to answer our questions and confirmed reservations.

When we arrived, we were met by our driver, Ben Pusi, who was absolutely amazing. He was highly informed, able to spot animals in insane places, and placed the safari van in perfect viewing locations. We barely needed binoculars. We went on another short trip to Rwanda and Uganda after with a guide who was good but nothing like Ben, so we can definitely say Ben is the best. During the trip, we had a couple of small requests and changes to the itinerary and Ben was incredibly flexible, accommodating every request.

The accommodations were also amazing. We selected the mid-range option and did not know what to expect, but the places were ultra luxurious and beautiful. Daniel got us the best rooms, with the best views in the best spots in every location. Every room we stayed in had amazing views, was very comfortable, had great food and service, were clean, and was virtually insect free (which was very important for my wife).

Our least favorite location was Lake Nukuru because the lake is no longer pink due to rising water levels, and we didn't spot a ton of new animals. They are known for their leopards but we were not lucky there. Of course, that is how wildlife spotting goes, but it was a long drive from Ol Pajeta to Lake Nukuru. We made up for everything missed in Maasi Mara, which was our favorite location, and saw every animal we saw in the other locations, plus everything we missed, including leopards. I recommend adding more time in the Maasi Mara if you have extra time, and if not, skip Lake Nukuru to add extra days to Maasi Mara.

Most importantly, the trip was affordable! We had a similar trip planned with another travel agency about two years ago, but didn't go because the cost was almost double what we paid. I have no idea how African Sermon was able to get exactly what we wanted for half the cost (which was most of the reason we were apprehensive at first), but everything turned out exactly as we hoped.

Overall, it was our dream vacation come true and I highly, highly recommend it. We hope to come back soon!
