Terms and Conditions
The two parties (the client and the provider) hereby acknowledge, understand and agree with all the “Terms and Conditions” included in this Contract which is bound by Ethiopian Law.
1. Pricing
The price of the tour is listed on the pricing page.
2. The Price Includes
What the price includes is mentioned. Kindly check before our booking.
3. The Price Excludes
What the price excludes is listed. Kindly check before our booking.
4. Payment Method
• First Payment = 50% Deposit is needed.
• Remaining balance must be paid 2 months before your arrival.
5. Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your booking (includes any person named in the booking) for any reason, we charge a cancellation fee to you, calculated as follows:
• 60 to 31 Days prior to arrival: 20% of total price will be charged.
• 30 to 15 Days prior to arrival: 30% of total price will be charged.
• Less than 15 Days prior to arrival or No show: 100% of total price will be charged and No Refund.
• No refund will be made for any accommodation, flight, transportation, sightseeing, meals, or service not utilized by any person after the tour has begun.
Note: This policy does not apply for Epiphany and Christmas tours. Cancellations for these tours must be informed at least 4 months prior.
6. Refund
Refunds for unused or unutilized services (paid for and cancelled in advance) will be calculated based on the cancellation policy above. The refund will be made to the person who made the payment.
Note: Refunds may take 2 – 4 weeks due to banking procedures. If the refund is made to a credit card or bank account, any bank charges will be deducted from the refund amount.
7. Travel & Health Insurance
We provide car comprehensive insurance. All other types of insurance will be covered by the traveler. We do not cover or provide any other kind of insurance.
8. Transportation
We use the latest Toyota 4-Wheel Drive Cars for Danakil and Vans for other tours.
9. Accommodation
We provide accommodations ranging from 3* to 4* hotels. We choose the best available accommodation at the places where the traveler will spend the night. If the traveler wants to change to another accommodation, the Ethiopian Tour Operator does not cover the extra cost.
10. Flexibility
The tour will be flexible if necessary and obligatory. Travelers must understand and agree to this flexibility. There may be changes in the route, schedules, itinerary, amenities, and mode of transport due to local circumstances (sickness, mechanical breakdown, flight cancellations, strikes, political disputes, climate, and other problems).
We will also be flexible to satisfy the client’s interests and welcome any reasonable request during the tour.
11. Natural Accidents
We are not responsible and do not accept liability for sickness, death, injury, theft, loss, or damage to any traveler or property. However, we will make our best efforts to assist visitors when dealing with such issues.
12. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for any Force Majeure events and cannot accept liability or pay compensation. “Force Majeure” includes any events beyond our control, such as actual or threatened war, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural disasters, bad weather, fire, or similar events.
