ngorogoro visit and excellent guide
We had an amazing one day safari experience in Ngorogoro in November. Our guide Henry B Tremba was kind and courteous. He was patient and let us guide the amount of time we spent looking at the various animals. He was aware of where to go and we saw so much! He even made the light afternoon rain seem enjoyable. Our stop at the Massai Village was also a highlight... and it was not touristy as no one was there but us. They all knew Henry and received him with kindness. The wild elephant in the lodge entrance was a highlight. Thanks Henry!

Stunning experience
Booking was easy and a tailor-made tour efficiently put together.
Driver Heri was amazing at spotting game from miles away; very knowledgeable, never rushed us. Adept at finding things to see away from other vans. Careful driver but always on time.
Hotels/lodges were excellent.

Great Safari experience. We saw so much wildlife!
Our driver was excellent, very knowledgeable of Tanzania, the Serengeti and of the animals. He was able to take us places to see every type of wildlife we hoped to see. I'd recommend Macho Halisi to anybody considering a safari in Tanzania. Our accommodations were also excellent. Everything exceeded our expectations.

Excellent Service from Macho Halisi
We booked a 11 day private Safari with Macho Halisi and enjoyed Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Tarangire and Karatu. Very, our driver was the best. We hat a lot of fun with him, and he showed us very special things. He drove threw Ndutu, where off-roading ist allowed. There we have seen a pregnant and a cheetah with 5 cheetah cubs. In Serengeti we have seen a lion drinking water just next to us, or a Leopard walking threw the grass and then climbing up on a tree. We even had the chance to see a cheetah with 4 cheetah cubs chaseing a gazelle. We had the opportunity to see a lot of Elephants, form 2 weeks old till very old. It was fantansic, more than we ever expected. The program was very well adapted to our personal wishes! We would highly recommend Macho Halisi and their best driver Very! Thank you very very much!!!

Great 8 day private safari trip
We booked a 8 day private safari with Macho Halisi and enjoyed our trip to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater very much.
Our driver guide Herry Temba was very kind and a careful driver. He was very patient when we wanted to stop to take a lot of pictures and also told us many interesting things about the culture, as well as the animals of Tanzania. He helped us to spot all the big five and much more during our trip.
We can highly recommend the Kudu lodge accommodation in Karatu which is very high quality. The Halisi Tented Camp in Serengeti is well located in Seronera to watch the amazing quantity of wildlife.
The safari car was very good (Toyota Landcruiser with top up roof and 6 seats), the perfect car to spot all the wildlife, of which there is plenty ☺

Amazing sighting of animals with our fantastic guide Isaya who had so much knowledge to share
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Tanzania. Isaya was an exceptional guide. Every day he taught us many facts about the animals we sighted. He was very patient with us as we strained to see animals which were so well camouflaged we sometimes had trouble seeing them with binoculars, yet he could see them with the naked eye. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He always took the time to make sure we were checked into our accommodation and would meet with us every night to check that we were happy with the outcome every day and to plan our next day. He took photos of us and for us and he was only happy when we were completely satisfied. We had a lot of fun with him as he tried to teach us Swahili. It always surprised me how he would so willingly oblige by answering our endless questions. We saw all the animals and our trip to Tanzania exceeded our expectations. Thank you.
perfect service again
We relied the second time upon Macho Halisi for organizing our trip in Tanzania, this year to Karatu and from there to Tarangire, the Selous and Pemba. The communication before booking was easy, several alternatives were suggested and accompanied by recommendations and even some date shifting due to other commitments of ourselves was no problem. In Karatu we stayed at Kudu, Macho Halisi's own lodge, which may not represent the very top of the market, but comes quite close to it with nice and very quiet rooms, very good food and helpful personal all the day round. Our driver and guide in Tarangire , Rama, was not only nice and a driver we felt very comfortable with, but as well a very knowledgeable guide. The stay in the Selous (Beho Beho) was outstanding, Fundu Lagoon on Pemba very comfortable.
When a plane was late from Pemba to Zanzibar so we needed to rearrange transportation in Dar es Salaam, because we misses the connecting flight Macho Halasi was immediately available and took care of it.
So in short: We will continue to rely on Macho Halisi when traveling in Tanzania.

Excellent Company, First Class Service, Affordable Price
Macho Halisi rescued us after a nightmare experience with Overseas Adventure Travel and Ranger Safaris. The Kudu Lodge accommodations were excellent and the food delicious. Our safari driver/guide was knowledgeable, very competent, respectful of the client, environmentally sensitive and unwavering in his consideration of the well being of the wildlife unlike many other safari companies that we encountered. In 6 days on safari we saw a greater range of animals, including the big 5. than we saw on the previous 26 days of safari with OAT. The company is owned by Tanzanians and staffed by Tanzanians and it shows in their professionalism and their love of their country. I would not hesitate to recommend Macho Halisi to family, friends or any traveller looking for the highest quality at an affordable price. In fact my parents are planning to use this company for an adventure later this year. Find out who owns the safari company before you book. The professional and personal service that was given to us by Macho Halisi (office staff and driver guide) was more than we expected and made our Safari a once in a lifetime experience. The car was comfortable and in good condition. We enjoyed the trip tremendously and hope to be back one day.
