3-Day Murchison Fly in Luxury Safari with Chimpanzees

Arrival and Fly to Murchison Falls National Park

Early morning, transfer to Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi Airstrip for your scheduled or charter flight to Murchison Falls (approx. 1–1.5 hours). Upon arrival, your guide will meet you and transfer you to your safari lodge, passing through the park where you may spot elephants, giraffes, and buffalo along the way.
After lunch and a short rest, head out for a sunset game drive in the northern sector of the park. Expect encounters with lions, leopards, Jackson’s hartebeest, and vast herds of Ugandan kob. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and drinks under the stars.

Morning Boat Ride to the Bottom of the Falls and Chimpanzee Trekking in Budongo Forest

After an early breakfast, depart for a morning boat cruise on the Nile River, heading upstream toward the base of Murchison Falls. Along the way, you’ll encounter hippos, crocodiles, African fish eagles, and wildlife drinking from the riverbanks. Disembark near the falls and take a guided hike to the top of the falls for a breathtaking view where the Nile explodes through a narrow gorge.
Return to the lodge for lunch, then drive south to Budongo Forest Reserve for a chimpanzee tracking adventure in the afternoon. Accompanied by expert forest guides, you’ll walk beneath the towering mahogany trees in search of these lively primates. You’ll have an hour with a chimpanzee troop, observing their behavior, calls, and social dynamics up close.

Morning Game Drive and Fly back to Entebbe

Enjoy a final sunrise game drive, catching the early movement of predators and grazers alike. Murchison’s open plains offer some of the best wildlife photography opportunities in Uganda. After the drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and check-out.
You’ll then be transferred to the airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe, arriving by midday or early afternoon — in time to connect with your international departure or continue your journey to other parks like Kibale, Bwindi, or Queen Elizabeth.
