Arusha to Serengeti – Game Drive En Route

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Arusha, typically around 6:00 AM. After a short briefing by your driver-guide, you'll set off in a 4x4 safari vehicle toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. The drive takes you through the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania, passing villages, farmlands, and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

After approximately 7-8 hours (including photo stops and lunch en route), you'll arrive at the Naabi Hill Gate—the official entry point to the Serengeti. Here, you can stretch your legs, use the facilities, and take in panoramic views of the vast plains before beginning a thrilling game drive into the heart of the Serengeti.

Expect to see herds of wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, and a variety of antelope species. Lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are commonly sighted in the central Seronera region. Your guide will navigate slowly to maximize wildlife viewing and photography opportunities.

Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive—the best time to witness predators on the hunt. As golden light bathes the savannah, you might spot lions returning from a night of hunting or elephants roaming through morning mist.
After the early drive, return to camp for breakfast and a short rest. Then head out again with a packed lunch for a full-day exploration of the Serengeti ecosystem. Your guide may take you to areas where the Great Migration is occurring—massive herds of wildebeest and zebra moving in search of fresh grass, often trailed by predators.

You’ll traverse various habitats including riverine forests, kopjes (rocky outcrops), and open plains, each offering unique wildlife encounters. Your expert guide will share insights about animal behavior, park ecology, and local conservation efforts.

Lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic picnic spot within the park, surrounded by nature. Return to your accommodation by sunset for dinner and a relaxing evening around the campfire.
