The word Serengeti means “endless plains” in the Maasai language — and you’ll see why. Begin your first game drive en route, spotting elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and perhaps your first lion or cheetah.
In the late afternoon, arrive at your safari camp and enjoy the sound of nature under the vast African sky, filled with stars.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to more than 25,000 animals including elephants, hippos, zebras, and lions. With luck, you may spot the endangered black rhino grazing in the misty morning light.
Stop at the hippo pool for a picnic lunch surrounded by incredible scenery. In the afternoon, ascend the crater wall and head to your lodge nestled in the highlands.

Look out for troops of baboons, playful blue monkeys, and the famous tree-climbing lions that rest on acacia branches. Large flocks of flamingos and pelicans paint the lake’s surface pink and white.
Enjoy a leisurely game drive followed by a picnic lunch before returning to Arusha in the late afternoon for your final evening in Tanzania.
