Flight from Zanzibar to Arusha Airport - Transfer to Tarangire – The Safari Begins

Your adventure begins with an early hotel pick-up in Zanzibar (time depends on your location). By 06:00 AM, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your 08:00 AM flight to Arusha. On arrival at 09:15 AM, our friendly guide will greet you and provide a short safari briefing over breakfast near the airport. Then, enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, known as the “home of giants” for its vast elephant herds and ancient baobab trees.

Inside the park, your safari adventure begins! Explore the open plains and spot elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, and maybe even leopards lounging in the trees. The Tarangire River draws countless animals, creating one of Tanzania’s most picturesque landscapes. With over 400 bird species, the park is a paradise for bird lovers.

By late afternoon, arrive at your lodge in Tarangire National Park, surrounded by wildlife. As the sun sets, enjoy dinner under the stars, soaking in the true magic of the African bush.

Wake up to the peaceful sounds of nature in the heart of the African wilderness. After breakfast at 7:00 AM, embark on an exciting morning game drive through Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic and wildlife-rich destinations.

Morning hours offer the best light and activity, elephants march toward the river, lions stir from their night’s rest, and giraffes gracefully move between ancient baobab trees. You may also spot zebras, buffalo, gazelles, and a dazzling variety of birds as the savannah comes alive.

After a delicious picnic lunch, continue exploring the park’s rolling hills and river valleys before heading back to Arusha in the afternoon. From there, board your 4:30 PM flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, your driver will meet you for a comfortable transfer to your hotel ending your unforgettable Tarangire safari with incredible memories.
