Day 2

After breakfast, your Lion King safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation and set off for Tarangire National Park, a scenic drive of approximately two and a half hours on good tarmac roads. The park, named after the Tarangire River—the lifeline for wildlife during the dry season—is famous for its enormous herds of elephants, offering spectacular viewing opportunities as they gather along the riverbanks.
Along the way, keep your eyes peeled for giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, while predators like lions and leopards may also be nearby. Tarangire boasts the highest diversity of bird species in the world and is dotted with majestic ancient baobab trees, some believed to be over a thousand years old.
You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the park before continuing your adventure to your accommodation in Karatu, where you can relax and reflect on the day’s incredible wildlife encounters.

After breakfast, you’ll journey into the cooler, scenic regions of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, stop to visit the Maasai people and immerse yourself in their vibrant culture and rich traditions. Take in the breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater before continuing your drive through the conservation area toward the southern Serengeti National Park.
The Serengeti is famous for its endless open grasslands and incredible wildlife. It is home to a wide variety of species, but it’s particularly celebrated for the annual Great Migration. Depending on the season, you may witness one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, as thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes traverse the plains in search of water and fresh grazing.
Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch amid this spectacular wilderness, then retreat to your comfortable and beautifully located accommodations within the Serengeti for a magical overnight stay surrounded by nature.

After a hearty breakfast, set off on a scenic drive to the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying spectacular landscapes and wildlife sightings along the way. Spend an unforgettable afternoon exploring this natural wonder before retiring to your accommodation in Karatu.
Encircled by towering volcanic walls, Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking sanctuary brimming with life. This UNESCO World Heritage Site showcases golden savannahs, shimmering lakes, lush swamps, and acacia woodlands. Formed over 2 million years ago following a massive volcanic eruption, it remains the world’s largest unbroken caldera.
Descending into the crater is an adventure in itself, with unparalleled views at every turn. On the crater floor, marvel at herds of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles, alongside over 500 bird species, from flamingos to crowned cranes.
