Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti National Park

Following breakfast, you'll set off with a packed lunch and relish a game drive on your way to the Mara River to witness the wildebeest crossing. When the great migration takes place in the region (July–September), wildlife sightings along the Mara River are truly spectacular. The Serengeti Mara is the optimal spot in the national park to witness these dry-season crossings of wildebeests. During the migration season, vast herds of wildebeest, along with their companions, gather on one side of the Mara River. It can sometimes take a while (even up to several days) before one courageous animal decides to cross the river; after that, the others will follow. Interestingly, these herds can occasionally move back and forth across the river without any clear reason.

Following breakfast, you will set off with packed lunches and enjoy a brief game drive through the Serengeti Mara before heading to the Seronera Area of the Serengeti.
Seronera stands out as one of the many globally renowned highlights in the Central Serengeti. The Seronera Valley is home to a significantly greater variety of resident wildlife compared to other areas in the Serengeti, including elephants, giraffes, impalas, waterbucks, hippos, topis, reedbucks, buffaloes, and baboons. This resident prey species, in turn, draws the highest concentrations of large predators in Africa, such as lions, hyenas, leopards, and cheetahs, along with a variety of smaller predators, including mongooses, jackals, servals, and bat-eared foxes. You will spend the night at Enkirari Wilderness Camp.

This continuous caldera, the biggest of its kind anywhere in the world, is located at an altitude of 2,286 meters above sea level. The 260 square kilometer area is surrounded by towering cliffs that rise 610 meters above the crater floor and function as a habitat with over 30,000 animals, about half of which are zebras and wildebeests.
