Your Wild Odysseys safari guide will pick you up after breakfast for a scenic two-and-a-half-hour drive to Tarangire National Park via well-maintained tarmac roads. Named after the Tarangire River—the park’s vital dry-season water source—it is famous for large elephant herds gathering along the banks. You’ll also spot giraffes, bushbuck, hartebeest, and predators like lions and leopards. Tarangire boasts Africa’s highest bird species diversity and ancient baobab trees, some over a thousand years old. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a designated site inside the park.
