Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

At the morning you will be transferred to Dar es Salaam Railway Station for your scenic SGR train journey to Morogoro
Upon arrival at Morogoro Railway Station, meet your friendly safari guide and drive straight to Mikumi National Park a wildlife-rich gem in Tanzania’s southern safari circuit
Spend the day on a full-day game drive across the Mkata Floodplain spotting elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and numerous antelope species. Around midday, stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic site inside the park. Continue your afternoon game drive, visiting the hippo pool and capturing the stunning sunset over the savannah before leaving the park
In the evening, drive to Tanapa Mikumi Cottages for dinner and an overnight stay in a comfortable, nature-filled setting right inside the park, offering an authentic safari atmosphere.

After an early breakfast at Tanapa Mikumi Cottages embark on a morning game drive to experience the park when wildlife is most active

Keep an eye out for buffaloes, wildebeests, impalas, and a wide variety of colorful bird species, including kingfishers, hornbills, and egrets

You will have the lunch break inside the park
