Start your adventure with an early morning departure from Dar es Salaam by SGR train to Morogoro, offering a comfortable and scenic journey through the heart of the Tanzanian countryside. Upon arrival, you'll be met by your professional safari guide and transferred by private 4x4 vehicle to Mikumi National Park, arriving around midday.

After checking in and enjoying a hearty lunch at your lodge, gear up for an exciting afternoon game drive. Mikumi’s vast open plains offer some of the best wildlife viewing in southern Tanzania. Look out for:, Elephant herds grazing near the miombo woodland, Lions resting under acacia trees or stalking prey in the grasslands, Giraffes, buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and more

As the sun sets over the savannah, return to your lodge for dinner and a peaceful night surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Early Morning Game Drive & Depart to Dar es salaam

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, when wildlife is most active and the soft morning light is perfect for photography. You may spot predators returning from a night hunt or witness herds beginning their day. This is a magical time in the bush that’s not to be missed.
After your game drive, return to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast, then late afternoon begins your drive back to Morogoro Town. You’ll board the midafternoon SGR train back to Dar es Salaam, arriving in the late evening. This marks the end of your unforgettable Mikumi adventure short but packed with unforgettable moments.
