You’ll also spot nomadic wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and eland congregating around the shrinking lagoons. As a vital dry-season refuge, Tarangire is a haven for many migrating animals and a welcoming home for elephants. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Marvel at the awe-inspiring spectacle of the wildebeest migration—a million-strong herd moving in rhythm with an ancient instinct, playing their vital role in the circle of life. For three weeks, these animals engage in territorial displays and mating rituals, followed by a fierce struggle for survival as they journey in 40 km (25-mile) long columns across crocodile-filled rivers during their annual northward migration. With over 8,000 calves born daily during a brief population surge, the 1,000 km (600-mile) pilgrimage continues, year after year.

After an early breakfast, embark on a unique game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater, an ancient volcano teeming with incredible wildlife. The earlier you descend to the crater floor, the better your chances of spotting rare species, including the elusive black rhino. Spend the morning exploring this natural wonder, whose 600–650 meter-high walls create a spectacular enclosure with one of the highest concentrations of wild animals in Africa.
Enjoy a picnic lunch, typically at the designated spot by the hippo pool, before driving back up to the crater rim and exiting the conservation area.

After breakfast, depart from your accommodation and make your way to Lake Manyara National Park. Along the way, you may visit a local market before continuing to the park, where you’ll have plenty of opportunities to capture stunning photographs.
Bird enthusiasts will be thrilled by the variety of species here, from large flocks of flamingos to countless other birds. Known as a premier birding destination, Lake Manyara also offers breathtaking wildlife viewing, making it a true photographer’s paradise. After exploring the park, you will return to Arusha, marking the end of your tour.
