Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

This morning, you’ll head to Dar es Salaam Airport for your flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to Tarangire National Park for your first thrilling game drive. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the wild as you explore this iconic park before retiring for the night at Fig Tree Lodge. Enjoy lunch, dinner, and complimentary drinking water during your stay.

Covering nearly 2,500 square kilometers, Tarangire National Park is renowned for its vast elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and the Tarangire River that winds through its stunning landscape. The river is a lifeline during the dry season (June to November), attracting numerous animals and offering incredible game-viewing opportunities. Often compared to the Serengeti for its impressive wildlife density, Tarangire is home to over 3,000 elephants, diverse predators, and more than 600 bird species, making it a true gem for nature lovers and photographers alike.

Known as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken caldera on Earth, formed nearly two million years ago when a massive volcano collapsed. Its 600-meter-high walls enclose a remarkable ecosystem of acacia forests, grassy plains, and hippo-filled swamps. This natural sanctuary is home to elephants, warthogs, flamingos, diverse bird species, the endangered black rhino, and Africa’s famed big cats.
