Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater – Ndutu Plains

You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport early in the morning. Drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying scenic views of the highlands and local villages along the way.

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater a UNESCO World Heritage Site for a full-day game drive. Witness the “Big Five" of Africa (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard) along with zebras, baboons, impalas, waterbucks, wildebeests, hippos and flamingos near the crater lakes. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. After lunch, you will proceed with the afternoon game drive.

In the late afternoon, you will exit the crater and drive south towards Ndutu Plains, a prime area of the Southern Ngorongoro region, renowned for abundant wildlife and predator sightings. You will enjoy an evening game drive on the plains until sunset. Check in at Tanzania Bush Camp, Ndutu, relax and enjoy dinner under the African sky with the sounds of nature.

Ndutu Plains – Ngorongoro Highlands – Arusha

After an early breakfast around 5:30 AM, you will board the safari vehicle for a full-day game drive across the legendary Ndutu Plains, the heart of the great wildebeest migration. Witness the spectacular sight of thousands of wildebeest calves taking their first steps, grazers navigating the savannah and predators in action, lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas on the hunt, testing the newborns in a raw display of nature’s survival drama. Capture the golden sunrise over endless plains, a photographer’s dream. You will have lunch at the picnic site inside the park. After lunch, you will proceed with the afternoon game drive.

Depart Ndutu by late noon and return to Arusha or the airport, stopping along the way for photos, refreshments, and breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Arrive in the late evening at your hotel or Kilimanjaro Airport, completing a 2-day safari rich with wildlife, drama, and unforgettable African landscapes.
