Upon arrival, your guide will pick you up from the airport. If your arrival is in morning or afternoon, you will still be able to visit the Kigali Genocide memorial, where you will understand the growth and progress the country made ever since
the 1994 genocide against Tutsis. Proceed to the hotel for check in assistance, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Kigali- Akagera National Park

Have breakfast and check out, set off to Akagera National Park. The only savannah park in the country which holds a
breathtaking blend of rolling savannahs, woodlands, and shimmering lakes. Home to the iconic Big Five and a wide variety of other wildlife. Upon arrival at the park, you will have a briefing about Akagera National Park, followed by the start of your exciting game drive. Followed by evening boat safaris on Lake Ihema, visitors can witness elephants, lions, giraffes, hippos, and an incredible diversity of birdlife. Arrival at the park for briefing, after that, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

On this day, you will drive to Uganda via the Volcanoes area. Rushaga is one of Uganda’s most scenic and rewarding destinations for gorilla trekking. Arrival, visit to the Dian Fossey Campus, where you’ll learn about the remarkable conservation efforts dedicated to protecting Rwanda’s mountain gorillas for your self guided tour, From there, continue your journey to Uganda, where you will enjoy dinner and relax in preparation for your gorilla trekking adventure.

Day 5

Gorilla trek and Batwa people

Gorilla trek and Batwa people

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience the famous apes, close to humanity in behavior, and nature.
Early in the morning, you will head to the park office for a briefing and start a great adventure, gorilla trekking in search of your assigned gorilla family. Once located, spend time with them as you see them eat, play around, relate with one another, etc. You will only stay for one hour for conservation reasons. In the afternoon, you will visit the Batwa community
and offer you a chance to experience their rich traditions, music, dance, storytelling, and unique survival skills. Walk with them through the forest, learn how they hunted with bows and arrows, discovered medicinal plants, and made fire from sticks. Dinner and overnight stay.
