Day 1

Kilimanjaro Golf & Wildlife Estate, Tanzania

Kilimanjaro Golf & Wildlife Estate, Tanzania

Our local guide, David collects you from your accommodation in Arusha or from your flight arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfers you to your guest house located in a forested setting beside a golf course and away from the hustle and bustle of Arusha.

The Kilimanjaro Golf & Wildlife Estate (Kiligolf) is situated on 1,040 acres of prime African bush land, nestled between Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru. To the south stretches the Maasai Steppe and the great ridges of the ancient Eastern Arc chain: the Pare, Usambara and Blue Mountains, all of which are visible from the estate. The Usa River, an important water source, runs along the western side of the estate.

Its peaceful location, friendly staff and comfortable accommodation make Hamerkop House a lovely spot to start or end your safari. With most long-haul flights arriving and departing in the evening, its close location to both Arusha and Kilimanjaro airports is also very handy.

Your stay here is totally flexible and your guide will discuss your preferred game driving schedule, which can include short game drives returning to camp after 2-3 hours and/or full day game drives with a packed lunch on-board. Time spent viewing the annual Great Migration can of course also be included, should the herds be in the area.
