Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be received by your safari guide and depart immediately for northern Uganda, commencing your adventure without delay. Drive through verdant countryside landscapes that introduces you to the heart of the Pearl of Africa. On reaching Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, you will embark on a guided on-foot rhino tracking experience, allowing you to observe the endangered white rhinos at strikingly close range while learning about ongoing conservation efforts to restore Uganda’s rhino population.
After en-route in Masindi, continue the journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area. Before settling into your lodge, visit the legendary Top of the Falls, where the Nile River forcefully funnels through a narrow 7-metre gorge before plunging into a thunderous cascade creating a dramatic spectacle of mist, rainbows, and raw natural power. The day begins with a transfer to the Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a briefing, followed by an immersive Chimpanzee Trekking experience in Kibale Forest. As you venture into the lush rainforest, you will observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat grooming, feeding, vocalising, and engaging in fascinating social interactions. This encounter is remarkably emotive and offers a profound appreciation of their intelligence and close resemblance to human behaviour.
After this memorable trek, return to the lodge for a relaxed lunch.
In the afternoon, you will enjoy a serene guided walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, an impressive community-led conservation project renowned for its rich concentration of primates—including black-and-white colobus, L’Hoest and red-tailed monkeys—and exceptional birdlife such as the colorful Great Blue Turaco. After breakfast, you will depart from Kibale and embark on a scenic transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through rolling highlands, terraced hills, and vibrant rural communities that characterise this region of Uganda. The journey offers beautiful photographic stops and a graceful change in scenery as you approach the mist-covered rainforest that is home to the endangered Mountain Gorillas. Upon arrival at your lodge, check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure, allowing yourself to unwind, soak in the serene forest atmosphere, and mentally prepare for the next day’s highly anticipated Gorilla Trekking experience.

Today marks the true highlight of your Ugandan safari, Gorilla trekking day. The morning begins with an early briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, who will provide essential guidance and allocate you to a gorilla family. The trek may take two to six hours, depending on the gorillas movements as they forage in the forest.
When you finally meet the gorilla family, you will spend a remarkable and humbling hour in their presence. Observe intimate family moments mothers caring for their young, playful juveniles swinging through the trees, and the imposing silverback watching over the group. Many travelers describe this as one of the most soul-stirring wildlife encounters on Earth. After the experience, you will receive a trekking certificate to commemorate this achievement. Later, you may opt for a cultural visit with the Batwa community, enjoying traditional dance, storytelling, and local crafts.
