After you land, you will be picked up by your driver, who will accompany you to your lodge. During the drive, you will be able to enjoy Tanzania’s beautiful landscapes and maybe even Mt. Kilimanjaro! When you arrive, your driver will brief you on tomorrow’s schedule while you enjoy a local beverage.

Day 2

Visit Lake Manyara National Park

Visit Lake Manyara National Park

After the 2-hour transfer, you will step into Lake Manyara National Park. This is one of the smaller parks, but it has one of the largest varieties of landscapes, which offers great opportunities for wildlife spotting. Look out over the water to see flamingoes and hippos, or look up to spot monkeys and lions high up in the trees. You will also have the chance to see the Rift Valley.

Between December and March, Ndutu becomes the nursery of the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeest give birth on the open plains. With so many newborns, predators like lions, hyenas, and cheetahs are never far away, creating dramatic wildlife moments. We’ll stay in a luxury migration camp close to the herds, and on our sunrise safaris on the second and third days here, you’ll have the best chance to see these predators.

Optional activities: Hot air balloon safari with a champagne breakfast.

Visit the Crater Rim

After a scenic drive, enjoy a walk along the Ngorongoro Crater rim, guided by a local ranger, where you'll be able to take in the breathtaking views of the crater. You’ll pass beautiful wildflowers and trees that only grow here. Along the way, look for birds, giraffes, zebras, or elephants. Your ranger will share fascinating insights about the area’s unique flora and fauna.
