After an early breakfast, you’ll head straight to the Ngorongoro Crater floor for an exciting crater tour, where a packed picnic lunch will be provided. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the world’s most spectacular wildlife destinations, renowned for its rich biodiversity. Here, you’ll have the chance to spot the rare black rhinoceros and enjoy lunch near the hippo pool, offering a stunning view of the lake and the numerous hippos cooling off in the water. Following the tour, you will begin the drive back to Arusha, which takes approximately three hours, with drop-off at the Budget Lodge at Gateway Hotel.

After breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up from Gateway Hotel to begin a scenic journey to the waterfall. The route winds through valleys and hills blanketed in tropical rainforest, passing coffee, banana, avocado, and other local trees. You will enjoy a traditional lunch prepared by the Chagga community. Next, travel to Chemka Hot Springs a bumpy, winding drive of over 40 minutes offering glimpses of authentic Tanzanian life along the way. At the Hot Springs, you can swim, relax, soak up the sun, and have lunch if you like, before returning to Arusha in the afternoon.
