Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

In the morning, clients will be picked up from their hotel in Nairobi at 8:30am and driven past the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This vast reserve forms part of the greater Serengeti plains, renowned for the spectacular great migration, and is home to the Big Five (lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino). Lunch will be served at the lodge, followed by time to relax before departing on the afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the greatest wilderness areas in the world, where large mammals are abundant and easy to spot. Wildlife commonly seen includes Masai giraffe, buffalo, eland, impala, zebra, and both Thomson's and Grant's gazelle.

Spend the full day viewing the great predators and exploring the park's remarkable concentration of wildlife. On the open plains, you may encounter vast herds of grazing animals, along with the elusive cheetah and leopard resting in the shade of acacia trees.
