4-Day Masai Mara & Lake Naivasha Safari Tour

Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

Your tour begins with a 7:30 am pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or airport, followed by a drive to the Masai Mara. The journey takes approximately 5-6.5 hours, including a scenic stop at the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in the Mara shortly after noon, check into your lodge or camp, and enjoy a hot lunch before departing for an afternoon game drive.

After the game drive, return to the lodge or camp by around 5:30 or 6:00 pm, freshen up, and enjoy a freshly prepared dinner. Your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Today’s itinerary is flexible and can be planned with your guide the evening before.

You may choose to have a relaxed breakfast and depart around 9:00 am for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch, returning to the lodge in the evening around 6:00 pm.

Alternatively, you can depart at 6:00 am for an early morning game drive, which is the best time to observe animals and may offer a chance to witness a hunt. After returning to the lodge for breakfast and some relaxation, you can set out again for an afternoon game drive with a packed lunch. Stop at a picnic spot for lunch, then continue the game drive until the park closes. You will return to the lodge around 6:00 pm for dinner and your overnight stay.

Masai Mara National Reserve - Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, check out and depart for Lake Naivasha, an approximately a five-hour drive. You may opt to take a boat ride to Crescent Island, where you can enjoy a nature walk alongside zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, waterbucks, antelopes, and a variety of birds. Upon arrival at the lake, you will check in to your camp or lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
