A Ngorongoro Crater day trip delivers one of Tanzania’s most remarkable wildlife experiences. After an early drive to the crater rim, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Descend 600 meters to the crater floor, where abundant wildlife thrives year-round. Expect sightings of lions, elephants, buffalo, hyenas, hippos, and large herds of zebras and wildebeest, as well as seasonal flocks of flamingos on Lake Magadi. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a designated spot before continuing your game drive through this unique, picturesque ecosystem. You’ll then ascend the rim and return to Arusha in the late afternoon.
