Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is famed for the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles cross rivers, often facing Nile crocodiles. The Central Serengeti offers outstanding wildlife and the Big Five, including lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos.

Enjoy a packed picnic lunch inside the park. Continue a 6+ hour game drive, returning to your lodge for comfort and relaxation. Dinner is served from 7:00–9:30 PM, followed by an overnight stay in the Serengeti.

Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater then drive to Arusha

Wake up early for breakfast before heading out for a game-drive transfer to the Ngorongoro Crater. Safari Lodge Ngorongoro offers a breathtaking sunrise in the morning, and the drive to the crater takes about 30 minutes. Morning is the best time to explore fewer crowds, beautiful light, and incredibly active wildlife.

The main attraction of Ngorongoro is its deep volcanic crater, the world’s largest unflooded and unbroken caldera. It stretches approximately 20 kilometers across, drops 600 meters deep, and covers 300 square kilometers an awe-inspiring natural wonder. During the game drive, we will also visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern part of the crater, famous for black rhinos, flamingos, hippos, and a variety of waterbirds.

You will enjoy a game drive inside the crater. The game drive will end at Late afternoon. Afterward, we will begin our journey out of the crater and proceed directly to Arusha.
