Today, you will board a scheduled flight from Wilson Airport, Nairobi to Arusha Airport, where your safari begins. On arrival, your guide will greet you and provide a short briefing before you drive to Tarangire National Park. Explore the park on an exciting game drive across open plains, riverine woodlands, and savannahs, spotting elephants, giraffes, zebras, and abundant birdlife. Towering baobab trees and the winding Tarangire River create iconic landscapes that support the park’s rich wildlife.

Spanning nearly 3,000 sq km, Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds and diverse habitats. Your guide will share insights into the animals, plants, and conservation efforts, enhancing your experience.

This morning, you will journey to Ngorongoro and descend into the legendary Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Often called the Eighth Wonder of the World, the crater is the largest intact volcanic caldera on Earth. It was formed over two million years ago when a massive volcano erupted and collapsed, leaving a vast basin 19 kilometers across, surrounded by steep walls rising 600 meters high.

Within this natural amphitheater lies a remarkable variety of habitats, from acacia woodlands and lush swamps teeming with hippos to sweeping grasslands. The crater is home to over 30,000 animals, including elephants, warthogs, flamingoes, abundant birdlife, elusive black rhinos, and the full complement of Africa’s big cats, offering unforgettable wildlife encounters.

Day 3

Your Bavuma Wild Quest safari guide will pick you up from your lodge and begin the drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic gem at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive through the park’s varied habitats, including lush groundwater forests, open grassy floodplains, and the shallow soda lake. Watch for tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, elephants, and a wide variety of birds.

Though small in size, Lake Manyara is famous for its unique wildlife, making it a memorable stop. Its vibrant green forests and serene landscapes offer a refreshing contrast to the other parks on your safari.

After the game drive, you will be driven to Manyara Best View Lodge for your overnight stay.
Meals: Breakfast and lunch are provided.

Authentic Maasai Culture and Community Engagement

Your safari guide will pick you up from your lodge and head to a nearby Maasai Village, with part of the journey enjoyed on a lively tuk-tuk ride, offering an authentic glimpse into local daily life. On arrival, you will receive a warm traditional welcome with Maasai songs and dances that showcase their rich cultural heritage.

During the visit, enjoy a guided village walking tour to learn about Maasai homesteads, traditional dress, beadwork, and livestock keeping. You will also take part in a coffee tour, where coffee is grown, roasted, ground, and brewed using traditional methods, with time to sample the freshly prepared drink.

Interactive experiences include spear throwing, fire-making demonstrations, and storytelling that shares the history and values of the Maasai people. The visit concludes with a Maasai barbecue lunch, featuring traditional African dishes prepared over an open fire.

After lunch, you will be transferred to Arusha for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi.
