Arusha town– Tarangire National Park
Arusha town– Tarangire National Park
Your Armadillo Adventures safari guide will meet you at your accommodation, after breakfast, and begin the journey to Tarangire National Park. The Park is defined by the Tarangire River that sustains wildlife throughout the dry season. You are likely to encounter large elephant herds, along with giraffes, plains zebras, wildebeest, impalas, bushbucks, and hartebeests. The diversity of herbivores supports a healthy predator population, and sightings of them are common. There are also hundreds of migratory and native bird species. The landscape is characterized by towering baobab trees, which create dramatic photographic backdrops. A picnic lunch will be served at a scenic location within the park, allowing time to observe wildlife activity nearby. The afternoon is dedicated to further game viewing before leaving the park and continuing to the cooler highlands of Karatu, where you will check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight rest.

The crater floor supports large populations of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, buffaloes, hippos, and an impressive variety of birdlife. This is also one of the best places in Tanzania to encounter the endangered black rhinoceros in its natural habitat.
