Day 3
Explore the Iconic Central Serengeti Plains
Explore the Iconic Central Serengeti Plains
The entire day is set aside for game driving in Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is home to an abundance of wildlife, including impalas, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos, but is best known for its great herds of migrating zebras and wildebeest. The rainfall determines the animals’ trek and varies from year to year. In November and December, the animals move from the northern region, dominated by woodlands and hills, to the grassy plains of the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June, they return to the north. Apart from the migrating herds, you might have the chance to see predators, such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions, always lurking close by.

Day 5
Lake Manyara & Departure
Lake Manyara & Departure
After breakfast, you will be met at your accommodations by your safari guide and then drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This is a relatively small but diverse park situated 120km west of Arusha. The park’s namesake is a shallow salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, floods and dries with the seasons, and is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. During your park explorations, you will see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and, with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes. It not only has grassy plains, but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab-dotted cliffs.
After an extensive game drive through the park, you will head towards either Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport for an onward flight to your next destination.
