Arrival at Kigali International Airport and transfer to the hotel

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will clear immigration and customs and proceed to meet our company representative, who will be waiting to greet you. After the warm welcome, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kigali. Before you are left to relax, you will be given a brief of your 3-day tour with highlights of the trip and the time of pick up the next morning.
Depending on your time of arrival, you can go shopping or drive straight to the hotel, check in, have dinner, and rest.

Kigali city tour, road transfer to Musanze and Gorilla Guardians experience

You will wake up to a delicious breakfast at the hotel, followed by a check-out and then go for a city tour. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where over 250,000 victims of the 1994 Rwanda genocide were laid to rest. While the site is an honored place of remembrance of the genocide victims, it also explains the process of reconciliation and how fast Rwanda is amazingly growing.
From here, you will set off for Musanze, arriving in time for lunch. Check in to your lodge, have lunch, and later head to the gorilla guardians village for a cultural experience that offers insight into Rwanda’s culture, including the cultural dance and drama and the traditional wedding ceremony. Thereafter, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

The Gorilla trekking experience and drive to Kigali

As gorilla trekking is the highlight for this day, it is an exciting day that will start with an early breakfast at the lodge, followed by a transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters. Here, you will be assigned a gorilla family to visit and be briefed on the activity. Set off to the starting point and search for the gorillas in the forest. When you come across the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend an hour in their presence, then trek back out of the forest. After the trek, you will drive to Kigali. If your departure flight is on this day, it should be in the evening.
