Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide from Armadillo Adventures. After a short meet-and-greet and safari briefing, you will be transferred to Arusha town, located at the foothills of Mount Meru. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at your lodge or enjoy a brief orientation of Arusha. Dinner and overnight in Arusha, preparing for the safari adventure ahead.

Day 2
Arusha to Tarangire National park
Arusha to Tarangire National park
After an early breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy a full game drive through open savannahs, riverine forests, and seasonal swamps along the Tarangire River, a lifeline for wildlife during the dry season. Expect sightings of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, lions, leopards, and a rich diversity of birdlife. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park. In the late afternoon, drive to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the Ndutu region. As the landscape opens into vast grasslands, wildlife sightings increase dramatically. Arrive in Ndutu by midday and begin your first game drive in this prime migration zone. During calving season, you may witness newborn wildebeest, intense predator activity from lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals, and large herds stretching to the horizon. Dinner and overnight at a tented camp in Ndutu.

Spend a full day exploring the Ndutu plains with morning and afternoon game drives. This is the peak of migration action—thousands of wildebeest give birth daily, and predators are constantly on the move. Your guide will track animal movements to maximize sightings of dramatic hunts and tender calving moments. Enjoy a bush picnic lunch or return to camp for a short rest before continuing your afternoon game drive. As the sun sets over the plains, return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro crater

After breakfast, depart Ndutu and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. The crater floor hosts an extraordinary density of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a game drive with a picnic lunch near a hippo pool, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. In the afternoon, ascend the crater rim and transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a final game drive. The Park is famous for its lush groundwater forest, large troops of baboons, flamingos along the lake shore, and the unique tree-climbing lions. After the game drive and picnic lunch, continue to Arusha where the safari concludes, with transfer to your hotel or airport for onward flight.
