Day 2

After breakfast, head east to Andasibe through the typical landscape and eastern rainforest. On the way, stop at the Peyreiras reptile farm to observe different endemic species of chameleons, lizards, geckos, frogs. Arrived in Andasibe around noon. In the afternoon, visit the Analamazaotra reserve to spot the largest lemurs of Madagascar called Indri Indri, which is the largest living lemur. Night walk to spot nocturnal species such as mouse lemurs, chameleons and frogs.

Breakfast at the hotel, then visit in the primary forest.
Mantadia National Park: Unique, rare and endangered all describe the species of animals. Home to a rich biodiversity, including very rare endemic species and endangered species. It is one of the easiest parks in Madagascar to visit. You will meet to the largest of the lemurs, that makes it so special. Mantadia National Park, with its pristine primary forest, is a refuge for numerous animal and plant species. After the visit, drive back to your hotel. Arrival in the end of afternoon.

Departure in the morning then drive to Antsirabe through mountains, hills and rice fields. Along the way, you will see many funeral graves, some simple; others explain what plays an important role in the local population and their fascination with the afterlife. Arrival in Antsirabe after long drive: the thermal station, "the city of water" as it is called, has become a very important economic town, renowned for its fresh products and mineral water, commonly called "Visy Gasy " the city is well known both for the many “pousse-pousse” and for the precious and semi-precious stones. Arrival at the end of the afternoon, installation at the hotel before a night walk.

Breakfast and drive to Fianarantsoa, stop in Ambositra to visit the village of Zafimaniry people and the handcrafts shops. Village Zafimaniry is an isolated region of Madagascar near the town of Ambositra. Inhabited by one of the 18 ethnic groups of Madagascar. This region is characterized by a typical architectural style of its village, its crafts, as well as by the particularty of the Zafimaniry culture. You’ll have lunch on the way, then continue to Fianarantsoa, one of the six big cities in the island, built on a site of hills alternating with valleys, the town of Fianarantsoa is spread over three floors: the upper town, the colonial city then the lower town. Fianarantsoa is one of the most commercial cities in Madagascar and trade is a major activity there. In addition to the tertiary sector, agriculture also occupies a place in the economy. The surrounding area partly grows tobacco, rice, grapes and coffee.

In the morning, the departure from Fianarantsoa to leads the south, descending to the southern part. In Ambalavao, there is an interesting handcrafted paper factory that is worth a visit. It takes about ten minutes to see the different processes at work and there is a small gift shop where you can purchase some of the products. In the afternoon, the second part of the trip passes through Ihosy to the wide grassy plains of Horombe and towards Ranohira. The scenery begins to change as you cross “Door to the South” mountain and enter the attractive countryside of the Betsileo people where granite outcrops dominate the horizon. The area is dominated by the Namorona River which, fed by many streams, plunges from the eastern escarpment close to the park entrance. The steep slopes are covered with a mixture of primary and secondary forest, much of the secondary growth is dominated by dense stands of introduced Chinese guava and clumps of giant bamboo. Breakfast and then continue to reach the capital of the Baobab tree.
Miandrivazo: It is a town located between Morondava and Antsirabe. We will stop here for lunch, which is considered the hottest place in Madagascar.

After 15 minutes’ drive from the town, welcome to the one of the world’s most spectacular natural monuments. The avenue of the baobabs is a unique natural site. Here, the baobabs are perfectly and naturally aligned on either side of the road, creating an absolutely unforgettable landscape. The atmosphere becomes particularly magical at sunrise or sunset, when the sky is ablaze with vibrant colors, providing a magnificent backdrop for these giants. Arrival and visit after the sublime photos and discovery of baobab species: Adansonia rubrostipa, Adansonia Za and Adansonia grandidieri, the last being the largest of the baobabs, sometimes exceeding 30m in height.
Continue to the Kirindy Forest Reserve, a daytime visit before returning to the Avenue of the Baobabs in the afternoon for sunset. Overnight in Morondava city.
