Addis Ababa – Jinka – Turmi

Morning flight from Addis Ababa to Jinka. Upon arrival, start the Omo Valley experience with a visit to the Banna tribe, well known for their stick-walking boys. Continue to the Hamer tribe to learn about their traditions, hairstyles, and village life. Drive south to Turmi and overnight.

Turmi – Omorate – Hammer bull jumping ceremony

After breakfast, drive to Omorate near the Ethiopian–Kenyan border to visit the Dassanech tribe, who live along the Omo River. Learn about their pastoral lifestyle and river-based farming. Return to Turmi for lunch. In the afternoon, visit a Hamer village and, if timing allows, witness the famous bull-jumping ceremony. Overnight in Turmi.

Turmi – Karo Tribe – Konso cultural landscapes and people

Morning excursion to the Karo tribe, known for elaborate body painting and scenic Omo River viewpoints. After the visit, drive to Konso and explore the UNESCO-listed Konso cultural landscape, famous for stone terraces and traditional villages. Overnight in Konso.

Konso – Arba Minch – Dorze Village

Start your day with a scenic drive to Arba Minch, a town celebrated for its stunning landscapes, and enjoy a peaceful boat trip on Lake Chamo, taking in the calm waters and beautiful surroundings. After lunch in Arba Minch, drive to Dorze village to admire the famous beehive-shaped houses, experience traditional dances, sample local cuisine, and explore the community’s intricate weaving traditions. From the village, enjoy panoramic views of Lakes Abaya and Chamo before returning to Arba Minch for an overnight stay.

Arba Minch – Addis Ababa City Tour

Relax in the morning before transferring to the airport for your flight back to Addis Ababa. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided city tour including major landmarks, the National Museum where the 3.2-million-year-old fossil Lucy is displayed, and visits to local markets. Continue to panoramic viewpoints overlooking the city. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a cultural restaurant, followed by transfer to the airport for international departure or onward travel.
