As the road winds into the Kigezi Highlands, the scenery becomes more dramatic, with terraced hills and mist-covered valleys leading toward Bwindi. Lunch is enjoyed en route, often in Mbarara, before pressing on through Kabale and into the dense forests that mark the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. By late afternoon or evening, you arrive at the lodge nestled near the park, surrounded by towering trees and the sounds of nature.
