Day 2
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your Lion King safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation and depart for Tarangire National Park, a scenic drive of approximately two and a half hours on well-maintained tarmac roads. The park takes its name from the Tarangire River, the only permanent water source for wildlife during the dry season, attracting large concentrations of animals.
Tarangire is renowned for its impressive elephant families, often seen gathering along the riverbanks. You may also spot giraffes, bushbuck, hartebeest, and predators such as lions and leopards. The park is a paradise for bird lovers, hosting more bird species than anywhere else in the world, and is dotted with iconic baobab trees, some over a thousand years old. Lunch will be served at a picnic site inside the park, followed by a game drive before continuing to your accommodation in Karatu.

Day 3
Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will ascend into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a stop to admire the breathtaking views over the Ngorongoro Crater. You will then continue through the conservation area toward the southern reaches of Serengeti National Park.
The Serengeti is truly spectacular, famous for its vast open plains that provide exceptional wildlife-viewing opportunities. Home to abundant wildlife, it is especially renowned for the Great Migration. Depending on the season, you may witness one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World as immense herds of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope move across the plains in search of fresh grass and water.
A picnic lunch will be enjoyed during the journey, and you will spend the night at a premium tented camp in the Central Serengeti.

This full day is dedicated to game drives in the Serengeti, renowned for its extraordinary wildlife and iconic landscapes. You may encounter impala, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos, as well as predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Each moment in the Serengeti offers an unforgettable and truly transformative safari experience.
You can choose early morning and late afternoon game drives, returning to camp for lunch and relaxation, or enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the heart of the park.

Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will journey toward the Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying breathtaking views along the way. Enclosed by towering volcanic walls, the crater is a pristine wilderness of open savannahs, acacia woodlands, shimmering lakes, and wetlands.
Formed when a massive volcano collapsed 2–3 million years ago, the descent into the crater is an unforgettable experience. On the crater floor, you will encounter large herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle, along with over 500 bird species. This is also one of the best places in Africa to spot the endangered black rhino grazing in the open grasslands. After an enriching afternoon in the crater, you will continue to your accommodation in Karatu.

Day 6
Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park
Set off for Lake Manyara National Park, a small yet remarkably diverse jewel located 120 km west of Arusha. Nestled beneath the Great Rift Escarpment, the park offers an impressive variety of habitats within a compact area. Its shallow, seasonal salt lake attracts thousands of waterbirds, including flamingos, and supports more than 500 bird species.
You will explore lush evergreen forests inhabited by baboons and elephants, and may even spot the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed amid this beautiful setting. After an exciting game drive, you will be transferred to your chosen drop-off point, either Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport, bringing your unforgettable journey with Lion King Adventures to a memorable close.
