Leave Nairobi at 05:00 hrs and drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley, making a brief stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint to enjoy panoramic views of the escarpment, with distant views of Lake Naivasha and Mount Longonot. Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park at approximately 08:00 hrs and begin your game drive.

Spend the day exploring the park's diverse habitats, including the lake shoreline, acacia woodlands, and open grasslands. Look out for the park's abundant wildlife, including white and black rhinos, lions, leopards, Rothschild's giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, waterbucks, and numerous bird species. Along the lake, admire the flamingos and the park's distinctive dead acacia trees that create a dramatic landscape.

In the late afternoon, exit the park and enjoy lunch at a restaurant in Nakuru Town before beginning the return journey to Nairobi through the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in Nairobi in the evening, bringing to an end a rewarding wildlife and birdwatching day trip.
