The safari begins with an early morning departure from Arusha, driving through scenic landscapes toward Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most underrated wildlife destinations. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a full game drive through the park, which is well known for its large herds of elephants, ancient baobab trees, and seasonal Tarangire River that attracts a wide variety of wildlife. During the game drive, you may spot lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and numerous bird species. In the late afternoon, you will drive to Simba Campsite, located inside the park, where you will set up camp, enjoy a freshly prepared dinner, and spend the night surrounded by the natural sounds of the African wilderness, offering a true budget camping safari experience.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, taking advantage of the cooler hours when animals are most active. This is an excellent opportunity to see predators returning from a night hunt and elephants gathering near water sources. Later, you will exit the park and drive to Mto wa Mbu village for a cultural experience. Here, you will interact with local communities, learn about traditional farming, local food, art, and daily life, providing insight into Tanzania’s diverse cultures. In the afternoon, you will continue your journey to Lake Eyasi, passing through beautiful rural landscapes, before arriving at Eyasi Campsite for dinner and overnight near the lake.

Day 3

Early in the morning, you will take part in unique cultural activities around Lake Eyasi, visiting the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. The Hadzabe are one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in East Africa, and you will have the chance to learn about their traditional hunting techniques, use of bows and arrows, and survival skills. You will also visit the Datoga community, known for their blacksmithing skills and strong cultural traditions. These interactions offer an authentic and educational experience. After the cultural visits, you will begin your drive back to Arusha, arriving in the afternoon for your onward journey or departure, bringing your memorable budget safari adventure to an end.
