Kigali-Akagera-Lake Ihema Boat Ride

- Upon arrival at the airport, or from your hotel around 9:00 am, your driver-guide will ensure a seamless transfer to Akagera National Park. After a short Kigali City tour, then transfer to Akagera National Park (around 3 hours drive).
- Lunch at Akagera Transit Lodge.
- Then continue with the formalities for entrance into the park.
- Upon arrival, you will check in Akagera Safari Camp a 3-star hotel inside the park.
- Afternoon from 15:00 - 16:00, go for a boat ride on Lake Ihema to discover hippos, crocodiles, birds, etc. Then continue with a short game drive to see other wildlife around the Lake Ihema.
- Return to the hotel around 18h00.

Morning and Night Safaris

Very early in the morning, you leave for the morning safari which will give you the chance to maximize the observation of morning animals and those invisible during the day; admire the sunrise in this wonderful savanna.
Then return to your hotel at 8:00 am for breakfast.
After breakfast, optional activities: relaxing and swimming at the hotel or walking safari.
Lunch at the hotel.
Afternoon: Night game drive to spot nocturnal animals.

Full Day Akagera Safari-Spotting Big Five

After the morning breakfast, go to discover many species of animals: Big 5 (lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalos), giraffes, zebras, antelopes, impalas, oribas and bushbous secret, as well as ungainly tsessebe and the largest antelope in the world, statuesque Cepeeland......) and admire the panoramic view of the landscapes of the Park made of hills and marshes.

The park is also home to almost 500 species of birds, including the spectacular Hoofbeak with its incredibly massive beak and the almost endemic Red-faced Barbet.

Return to Kigali around 4:00 pm, transfer to the airport at 5:00 pm or drop you off at your hotel.
