Upon arrival at either Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver-guide and transferred to Arusha city. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a short orientation tour of Arusha, a vibrant town often referred to as the safari capital of Tanzania. You’ll have the chance to experience the bustling local markets, admire the backdrop of Mount Meru, and get a sense of the region’s lively culture before settling in. The evening brings you to the tranquil Greenside Hotel, where you can relax in comfort, prepare for the days ahead, and immerse yourself in the anticipation of an unforgettable adventure across Tanzania’s iconic national parks.

Journey to Southern Serengeti - Ndutu

Today you travel to the famous Ndutu area in the southern Serengeti ecosystem, a spectacular region known for the Great Migration and endless open plains. Ndutu is especially famous during the calving season, when thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles gather, attracting predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Enjoy a full-day game drive across the savannahs and around Ndutu and Masek Lakes, where you may also see elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and diverse birdlife. The open landscapes provide excellent wildlife viewing and photography opportunities. In the late afternoon, drive to your lodge in the Ndutu area for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the African wilderness.

The Serengeti is famous for its vast savannahs, acacia-dotted plains, and rocky kopjes, home to large prides of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and abundant plains game. Continue your safari until around midday, followed by lunch at the lodge or a picnic lunch in the park. After lunch, depart Serengeti and drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying scenic landscapes along the way. Today you descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a guided game drive in this UNESCO World Heritage Site, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” The crater floor hosts an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, flamingos, and, with luck, the rare black rhino. Enjoy game viewing across grasslands, swamps, and lakes surrounded by dramatic crater walls. After the safari, ascend from the crater and drive to Karatu or Mto wa Mbu for dinner and an overnight stay, where you can relax in a peaceful setting after an unforgettable day in the crater.
