Upon arrival at either Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver-guide and transferred to Arusha city. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a short orientation tour of Arusha, a vibrant town often referred to as the safari capital of Tanzania. You’ll have the chance to experience the bustling local markets, admire the backdrop of Mount Meru, and get a sense of the region’s lively culture before settling in. The evening brings you to the tranquil Greenside Hotel, where you can relax in comfort, prepare for the days ahead, and immerse yourself in the anticipation of an unforgettable adventure across Tanzania’s iconic national parks.

After breakfast, your journey begins with a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem renowned for its vast elephant herds and majestic baobab trees. This park is particularly enchanting during the dry season, but year-round it offers a rich tapestry of wildlife, from big cats to diverse bird species. Your game drive will take you across open savannahs, riverbanks, and woodlands, offering extraordinary photographic opportunities at every turn. With fewer crowds compared to other parks, Tarangire delivers an intimate safari experience where encounters with elephants, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest feel almost private. Today you travel to the famous Ndutu area in the southern Serengeti ecosystem, a spectacular region known for the Great Migration and endless open plains. Ndutu is especially famous during the calving season, when thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles gather, attracting predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Enjoy a full-day game drive across the savannahs and around Ndutu and Masek Lakes, where you may also see elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and diverse birdlife. The open landscapes provide excellent wildlife viewing and photography opportunities. In the late afternoon, drive to your lodge in the Ndutu area for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the African wilderness.

After a rewarding safari experience, depart Ndutu and drive towards the Central Serengeti, passing through changing landscapes from open plains to classic savannah dotted with acacia trees and rocky kopjes. Enjoy wildlife sightings en route as you enter the heart of Serengeti National Park. Arrive at your lodge or camp in Central Serengeti for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.

Wake up in the heart of Central Serengeti and enjoy a morning game drive through this iconic wildlife-rich region. The Serengeti is famous for its vast savannahs, acacia-dotted plains, and rocky kopjes, home to large prides of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and abundant plains game. Continue your safari until around midday, followed by lunch at the lodge or a picnic lunch in the park. After lunch, depart Serengeti and drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying scenic landscapes along the way. Arrive at your lodge on the Ngorongoro highlands in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by cool highland air and beautiful crater views..

Today you descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a guided game drive in this UNESCO World Heritage Site, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” The crater floor hosts an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, flamingos, and, with luck, the rare black rhino. Enjoy game viewing across grasslands, swamps, and lakes surrounded by dramatic crater walls. After the safari, ascend from the crater and drive to Karatu or Mto wa Mbu for dinner and an overnight stay, where you can relax in a peaceful setting after an unforgettable day in the crater.

On your final day, set out for Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet diverse gem famous for its dramatic Rift Valley escarpment, lush groundwater forests, and shimmering alkaline lake. The park is home to tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, playful troops of baboons, and an incredible array of birdlife, including thousands of flamingos when in season. After a rewarding morning game drive filled with memorable sightings, you’ll begin your journey back to Arusha. Depending on your onward travel plans, you will be transferred either to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport, marking the end of an extraordinary 8-day safari through Tanzania’s most iconic landscapes.
