Estimated drive time: 7–8 hours

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Entebbe as you travel west through Uganda's vibrant countryside. Along the way, stop at the Equator Monument for photos and a chance to stand in both hemispheres at once. Continue through rolling hills, farms, and local towns before arriving in Queen Elizabeth National Park. As evening falls, gather around a campfire under the African sky, sharing stories and enjoying the sounds of the surrounding wilderness.

Safari Across the Savannah & Cruise the Kazinga Channel

Estimated activity time: Game drive 3–4 hours | Boat cruise 2–3 hours

Rise before sunrise and head into the vast savannah of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is the best time to catch wildlife on the move. As you explore the Kasenyi Plains, you may encounter herds of buffalo grazing in the grass, elephants crossing the tracks ahead of you, Uganda kobs gathering in open clearings, and, if luck is on your side, lions returning from a night of hunting.

After lunch, you'll set out on one of Uganda's most celebrated wildlife experiences: a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. As your boat glides across the calm waters, you'll come close to pods of hippos, giant Nile crocodiles basking along the shoreline, and elephants wandering down to drink. The channel attracts an incredible concentration of wildlife, creating endless opportunities for photography and observation. Above you, fish eagles call from the treetops while colorful kingfishers and other water birds dart along the banks.
