Day 2

After breakfast, your professional driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you first to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. Then, head straight to Volcanoes National Park to be ready the next day to visit the famous mountain gorillas. You will arrive at your hotel for lunch around 13:00 p.m.
Transfer time: 3 hours
After lunch, relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding nature and the chain of volcanoes.

Encountering the mountain gorillas in the wild is a truly humbling and emotional experience, one that you are sure to remember for the rest of your life.
Early breakfast before proceeding at 06:30 to the park head quarters where visitors assemble at 07.00 for a briefing on how to “behave “while in the company of a gorilla group. You will meet your guide here and proceed to the starting point of the trek to our allocated group of gorillas.
It is important to bring good hiking boots, long trousers for protection against stinging nettles, some snacks & sweets as well as sufficient amount of water as the rain forest gets hot and humid during the day.
Return to the hotel for lunch and then enjoy the visit of the twin lakes Burera and Ruhondo.

Day 4
Golden monkey hike - Kigali

Early in the morning before 06:30 am you must vacate your room and drop off your luggage at the indicated location, after enjoying your breakfast, head for adventure trekking for the rare golden monkeys in the bamboo forest. This genus of golden primates is only present in the conservation area of the Volcanoes National Park. Two clans are used to the human presence. Although the sight and stay with these monkeys is maintained for up to a maximum of one hour, you will be able to observe golden monkeys in their natural habitat up close. Then return to your hotel.
After lunch at your hotel, return to Kigali.

Today, around 8:30 am, your professional driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel to take you to Akagera National Park.. On the way enjoy the beautiful sceneries.
Upon arrival, you check in and have lunch in the luxurious Ruzizi Tented Lodge. In the afternoon, relax and enjoy the view of Lake Ihema and the surrounding nature. Then go to the first night safari for discovering different animals: gazelles, zebras, leopards, hyenas, etc.

- Early in the morning at 7:00 a.m., your professional driver guide will pick you up at the hotel for a full safari from south to north to discover various animals: big 5 (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo), giraffes, zebras, antelopes, impalas, secret oribas and bushbous, as well as unsightly tsessebe and the largest antelope in the world, sculptural Cepeeland...)
- Then back to the hotel, relax and cool off!

- After a relaxed breakfast, go to boat trip on Lake Ihema to experience the aquatic fauna (Hippopotamus, crocodile, birds...). Akagera is also renowned as one of the best birding areas in the world with more than 500 species recorded here.
- Then, continue visiting the park around Lake Ihema. Lunch at the hotel, and then return to Kigali to be dropped at your desired location, at your hotel or at the airport.
