Upon arrival at the airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your accommodation at Karibu Heritage Lodge in Arusha. Arusha to Ngorongoro Highlands – Overnight at Empakaai Crater Campsite

After breakfast in Arusha, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend briefly into the famous Ngorongoro Crater for stunning views. Continue to Olmoti Crater for a guided hike to the rim and Munge Waterfall. Later, drive to Empakaai Crater, descend into the crater, and overnight at Empakaai Public Campsite.

Empakaai Crater Hike to Acacia Camp

After breakfast at Empakaai Crater, begin your scenic trek through the remote highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Hike across rolling hills, open plains, and Maasai grazing lands while enjoying breathtaking views of the Rift Valley. Wildlife such as zebra and antelope may be seen along the way. Arrive at Acacia Camp in the afternoon for dinner and overnight under the stars.

Acacia Camp to Lake Natron

After breakfast at Acacia Camp, depart for the spectacular Lake Natron. Enjoy scenic drives through Maasai lands and volcanic landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, check in at Moivaro Tented Lodge. In the evening, begin a short acclimatization hike toward Oldoinyo Lengai to prepare for the summit climb. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Climb and Summit Oldonyo Lengai Volcano

In the morning, visit the traditional Maadai Boma to experience Maasai culture and daily life. Continue to explore a scenic waterfall and enjoy birdwatching, including the stunning flocks of flamingos on Lake Natron. In the evening, return to Moivaro Tented Lodge to rest and prepare for the nighttime hike to the summit of the active Oldonyo Lengai.
