Day 2
Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha by your personal safari guide and drive to Tarangire National Park via a tarmac road through rolling Maasai plains dotted with acacia trees. Along the way, you may see Maasai people in traditional dress herding cattle, walking, or traveling by bicycle and donkey cart. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds and diverse wildlife, including zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, giraffes, lions, and leopards. Exploring the park from the open roof of a modern safari jeep, you will experience seasonal swamps, savanna landscapes, and the life-giving Tarangire River. In the evening, you will check in at Mawe Mawe lodge, enjoy dinner in a fine restaurant, and relax by the pool, surrounded by natural beauty.

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your Accommodation then you will continue towards the fertile highlands of Serengeti, located in northern Tanzania, is the largest park in the country, covering approximately 14,750 square kilometers. Established in 1951, it forms part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem, which stretches into neighboring Kenya. The park is renowned for its diverse landscapes, including vast grassy plains, savannahs, forests, swamps, rivers, lakes, and scattered mountains, providing a rich variety of habitats for wildlife. Serengeti is home to the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros—as well as cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and over 500 species of birds. It is particularly famous for the annual wildebeest migration, one of the largest wildlife spectacles in the world, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles move across the plains in search of fresh grazing.

Today, you will spend a full day exploring the breathtaking Serengeti National Park, witnessing its rich wildlife and stunning landscapes. The park is home to a wide variety of animals, including impalas, buffalos, crocodiles, and hippos, but it is most famous for the great migrating herds of zebras and wildebeests, whose movements are guided by seasonal rains and vary each year. During your safari, you will also have the chance to spot powerful predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as they roam the plains in search of prey. Your day will be filled with exciting game drives across the vast savannahs, offering countless opportunities to photograph and experience wildlife in their natural habitat. After an unforgettable day in the park, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest volcanic caldera. Spanning nearly 20 kilometers in diameter and approximately 610 meters deep, the crater is renowned for its extraordinary concentration of wildlife. In addition to the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros—you may encounter wildebeests, gazelles, reedbucks, and over 500 species of birds drawn to the crater’s freshwater springs. Midday, you will stop at a scenic picnic site to enjoy lunch surrounded by breathtaking views. Afterward, you will continue your game-viewing adventures, exploring the diverse landscapes and observing the incredible variety of animals that call this unique natural wonder home.

After an early breakfast, you will head to Lake Manyara National Park for an exciting day of wildlife and birdwatching. During your game drive, you will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of birds, including the park’s famous flamingos that gather along the lake’s shores. You will also visit the hippo pool to observe hippos up close and enjoy views of the park’s natural hot springs. Along the way, you may encounter other wildlife such as buffalo, wildebeest, warthogs, monkeys, and a variety of vultures. The park’s diverse landscapes, from lakeside plains to dense forests, make it a haven for both animals and birdlife. After a fulfilling day of exploration, you'll be dropped off at Arusha.
