Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

In the morning, you’ll be picked up from your hotel in Moshi and set off toward Tarangire National Park. Celebrated for its ancient baobab trees and remarkable elephant populations, the park’s open, rugged landscape offers unforgettable scenery. During the dry season, it’s common to see hundreds of elephants sometimes up to 300 digging for hidden water sources beneath the sandy riverbeds. Tarangire also attracts large numbers of migratory wildebeest, zebras, and buffalo, drawn to the shrinking lagoons that sustain life across the plains.

You’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive with a picnic lunch in the heart of the wilderness. As the day winds down, you’ll continue to Ngare Lodge for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay, reflecting on a rewarding day of wildlife encounters.

Ngorongoro Crater

Your day begins early as you descend nearly 600 meters down the dramatic crater walls into one of Africa’s most extraordinary natural wonders the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Renowned for its breathtaking scenery and dense wildlife populations, the crater is a true haven for African wildlife and one of the best places to encounter the legendary Big Five. Thanks to its year-round resident animals, sightings of lions, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo are common, alongside vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, reedbuck, Thomson’s gazelle, and many other plains species.

In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy lunch at the scenic hippo pool picnic site, soaking in the unique atmosphere of the crater floor. Later, you’ll begin your drive back to Moshi, marking the end of your safari Adventure.
