Wake up early in Karatu and prepare for a half-day of adventure. Begin by driving to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s most remarkable natural wonders. Descend into the crater for a game drive, where you’ll encounter a rich diversity of wildlife, including lions, elephants, rhinos, and hippos, all set against the dramatic volcanic landscape.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before ascending back to the rim. From there, drive directly back toward Arusha.
