Upon your morning arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional driver guide. After a short meet and greet, enjoy light refreshments before setting off on a scenic drive northwards toward Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, you will stop for lunch as you take in views of rural landscapes and local communities.
Your journey continues with a visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will enjoy an on foot rhino tracking experience and learn about conservation efforts to reintroduce rhinos to Uganda’s national parks. After this memorable encounter, proceed to Murchison Falls National Park and visit the top of the falls, where the Nile River forcefully squeezes through a narrow gorge, creating a breathtaking spectacle of thunderous waters and mist.
In the evening, transfer to Lodge for check in, dinner, and an overnight stay surrounded by nature and the sounds of the wild.

Wake up early to a hearty breakfast before heading out at 8:00 am for a rewarding morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. Explore the open savannah in search of iconic wildlife such as giraffes, antelopes, lions, elephants, Uganda kob, and a wide variety of bird species. Birdlife is abundant, with chances of spotting African fish eagles and, with luck, the rare shoebill. On a clear morning, ask your guide to point out the distant Congo blue mountains, adding scenic beauty to your drive.
Return to the lodge area for lunch at around 1:00 pm, followed by time to relax. In the afternoon, embark on an unforgettable boat cruise along the River Nile. The cruise takes you to the base of the powerful falls and offers excellent wildlife viewing, including large crocodiles, schools of hippos, buffaloes, elephants, and numerous water birds such as herons, cormorants, kingfishers, bee eaters, skimmers, and fish eagles, with occasional shoebill sightings.

After an early breakfast, you will depart for Fort Portal, enjoying a scenic drive through rural Uganda with lunch en route. Travel past traditional homesteads, rolling farmlands, and vibrant local markets as you journey through Hoima, famously known as Uganda’s Oil City. The route offers beautiful countryside views and glimpses of daily life across this charming part of the country.
You will arrive in Fort Portal in the evening and transfer to your lodge to relax after the drive. Unwind with a refreshing glass of juice or wine as you take in the tranquil surroundings near Kibale Forest National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at your Lodge, nestled on the edge of the lush tropical forest.

Day 4

After an early breakfast, you will report to Kanyanchu Tourist Centre in Kibale Forest National Park for a briefing before setting off on your chimpanzee tracking experience. Accompanied by experienced rangers, you will venture into one of Uganda’s most beautiful tropical forests in search of the endangered chimpanzees. The chances of sighting them are over 90 percent, though not guaranteed. Kibale is also home to other primates including red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, black and white colobus, blue monkeys, grey cheeked mangabeys, red tailed monkeys, bush babies, and pottos, making it one of Africa’s richest primate habitats.
After lunch, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature walk through Magombe Swamp. This community run sanctuary offers excellent birdwatching opportunities and sightings of diverse flora and fauna. Later, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart at 8:30 am for a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoying breathtaking views of the Rwenzori Mountains, often referred to as the Mountains of the Moon, for much of the journey. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and relax as you await lunch, served around 1:00 pm.
In the afternoon, embark on a memorable boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, the natural waterway linking Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise offers exceptional wildlife viewing, with large pods of hippos, buffaloes, Uganda kob, and occasional Nile crocodiles, as well as outstanding birdwatching along the channel’s banks. Many travelers regard this experience as the highlight of their African safari.
After the cruise, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at your Safari Lodge.

After an early breakfast, depart at 8:00 am for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, taking your packed lunch along. This is the perfect time to catch the savannah wildlife at its most active, with grazing hippos, elephants, lions, spotted hyenas, bushbucks, waterbucks, striped jackals, playful warthogs, and the elusive leopard often spotted. The drive offers stunning landscapes and excellent wildlife photography opportunities.
Next, continue to Maramagambo Forest, a lush tropical forest filled with surprises. Explore the bat caves, where pythons can sometimes be seen hunting bats in the crevices, and visit nearby sites like the former Blue Lake and Hunter’s Cave. The forest is also rich in birdlife, with species such as bat hawks and brown-eared woodpeckers, and offers encounters with various primates.

Continue your journey toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a drive of approximately four hours that passes through striking landscapes and picturesque villages. Upon arrival in the evening, take in the lush green forest, crisscrossed by streams, and home to the rare mountain gorillas and diverse primates, including blue and red-tailed monkeys.

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is the highlight of any Uganda safari. After an early breakfast at 7:00 am, you will set off with experienced guides to track the mountain gorillas. The trek can be challenging, but the reward of observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat makes it unforgettable.
Wear jungle boots and a rain jacket, as the forest is often damp. Once you find a gorilla family, spend an hour watching them feed, groom, rest, and play especially the youngsters swinging from vines in playful displays. Each encounter is unique, offering a magical glimpse into gorilla behavior in this ancient rainforest, one of the few that survived the last ice age.

Return to the lodge for lunch at 1:00 pm before starting your journey back to Kampala. Along the way, stop at the Equator Line to experience the famous equator crossing and visit the Mpambire Drum Makers to see traditional drum craftsmanship. Arrive in Kampala by 5:00 pm and transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight, concluding your unforgettable Ugandan safari.
