Arusha - Tarangire National Park
Arusha - Tarangire National Park
Our safari guide will pick you up from the airport or your hotel in Arusha and transfer you with lunch boxes in hand to Tarangire National Park for a game drive (an approximately two hour journey). Once the game drive is finished, you will be transferred to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and your overnight stay.
The park is named after the Tarangire River, which runs through it. This “river of warthogs” is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. The park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. Lunch will be at a picnic site inside the park.

Day 2
Lake Manyara National Park - Arusha
Lake Manyara National Park - Arusha
Get up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from the lodge and transfer you with lunch boxes in hand to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive (an approximately 35-minute journey). Once the game drive is finished, you will be transferred to Arusha or the airport, where the safari ends.
Lake Manyara National Park is a small yet varied park. The scale of everything here is unique. It is both majestic, with the Great Rift Escarpment towering over the western edge of the lake, and compact, as it is one of Africa’s narrowest parks. A shallow salt lake gives the park its name. Thousands of wading birds, including flamingos and more than 500 other species, call it home. The lake covers a large portion of the park and changes with the seasons.
